I've returned every shoe I've ever bought from Amazon, but these are staying right in my closet. First, the packaging!! I was so impressed, I had to make a video. I opened them, but then had to re-wrap everything up and re-open, just to catch on video, how much care was put into the packaging. And I don't mean the packing from Amazon in shipping it to me, I mean the packaging from the shoe manufacturer. The shoes each come in these real nice almost linen-like bags, and then the shoes have bubble wrap as another barrier of separation between them. This totally saves the leather from ANY type of damage during shipping. And there's also bubble under the shoes and on top of the shoes, which makes 3 levels of bubble wrap. Also, I love that they added an extra set of the little black heel stud, for when the heel gets worn down. I haven't seen an extra set of heel studs come with a pair of shoes, for at least 10 years, so it was a very pleasant surprise. But let me hush, just watch the video and hopefully you'll see what I mean. Don't be afraid to purchase these lovely lovely shoes, I'm almost positive you won't be disappointed!! Oh, and by the way, even though I turned the flaps down and snapped them, you can keep them up and zip up that front zipper, for a more "boot-ish" look. Two different looks in one. Very cute. zippers are a little stiff so unsure how long they will hold up. I normally wear a 7-7.5. I went with the 7 and it fit as expected. I tend to have average to slightly wider than average feet and these fit me fine. I noticed after a few minutes of trying them on and walking around the house, my little toes started getting sore that quick! The buckle strap runs across the tops/tips of toes so I would recommend blister guards or inserts for more comfort. Shoes came with an extra set of heel pegs. Packaging was nice. The boots came in individual cloth bags for protection before being placed in shoe box.
