Best wired sleep headphones I've found, and excellent customer service
I've now had this product for over a year and have overall been happy with it. It's my second set of sleep headphones; I initially bought it because I was looking for a cooler material than my original fleece ones, and these have indeed been light and comfortable even in the summer. I use them with a white noise app on my phone turned up to the highest volume, along with earplugs, since I'm a light sleeper and my partner snores. This combination blocks out most of the noise. The ability to use both sleep headphones and earplugs is why I've chosen headphones like these rather than in-ear earbuds meant for side sleepers. For a while the speakers would slip around inside the headband every night, until I picked up a trick from these reviews: put some double-sided tape on one side of each speaker, slide the speakers into the correct place (irritating to do), and press them into place. They always stay put until I have to take them out every few weeks to wash the headband. Also, I have a smallish head and the headphones fit comfortably, rarely sliding off. And while one can easily get tangled in the cord, I've trained myself to only turn from side to side from my back, not my stomach, so the cord can't get wrapped around my neck. The cord is more than long enough for me, and I like that these headphones are not only cheaper than Bluetooth headphones but also won't die on you in the middle of the night. What's finally prompting me to write this review, though, is that the speakers have been slowly dying - I've clearly yanked the cord from my phone a few too many times and damaged the wires. I've read enough reviews on here to know that other people have had issues of longevity too, so I was planning to simply replace the headphones, possibly with another company. But first I contacted CozyPhones to ask if they sold replacement speakers separately, since the headband is still in fine shape. They offered to send me some free of charge. They responded promptly via Amazon's contact service, took my shipping address, and told me the speakers were on their way within less than 24 hours. I am very pleased with their customer service and wasn't expecting to get replacements for free.

Good, but needs a quality check
I gifted this item to a friend so they could watch videos in bed without worrying about crushing their headphones and ruining them. Everything was perfect when the package arrived, no broken parts or torn fabric from what I saw. My friend tried it out the same day I gave it to them and they said the sound quality was amazing, it was comfortable to wear both in and out of bed, and it was pretty stylish. About a week later while I was in a call with them, they said that the left earphone stopped working suddenly. We tried to troubleshoot the problem. It only came back on briefly after fiddling with the cord and positioning it just right, but keeping it like that is tedious and virtually impossible. The right earphone stopped working just a couple days later, and the next day, there was no sound at all. For an item that was meant to be worn to bed and put up with sleepers who toss and turn and possibly lay on their phones or tablets while asleep, I was a bit disappointed that the durability didn't quite hold up as long as I thought it would. I recommend purchasing sleep phones with a more durable cord if you can, or even bluetooth ones if you don't want to deal with cords that can't hold up against a few tugs.

GAMECHANGER
These are genius! I bought my first pair of these several years ago because I was tired of trying to fall asleep next to my ex while he listed to Howard Stern. I mean, think of the worst sounds to try to fall asleep to and I bet you that the Howard Stern show is near the top of the list. But he loved it and did not want to compromise (hence one of the reasons he is now my ex). I bought him regular headphones but they just wouldn't work because he was a side sleeper and they dug in to his head. Then I tried earbuds for him but by morning time they had fallen out and then it was always a scramble to try to find where they fell and hope that the cat hadn't batted them in to an abyss. So then I came across this and it seemed too good to be true! It fit super comfortably, allowed him to move without it poking him in his head, and stayed on throughout the night. It was a game changer! He got to listen to Howard Stern lull him to sleep and I didn't have to hear it! Highly recommend! I also recently purchased this for my father who is in a nursing home and bed bound. He has trouble hearing and has a Pocket Talker to amplify others in to a set of headphones that he wears. The typical headphones were uncomfortable and kept poking him and earbuds hurt the inside of his ears but this headband works like a charm. He can get repositioned and it will stay in place, it doesn't poke him anywhere, and most importantly it allows him to hear us talking to him! I can also see where this would work well at a gym, on a run or bike ride, on a plane or really any activity where you want comfortability and assurance that you won't lose an earbud!

great headphones - until they break
My wife and I use these to play a sleep tape (google Centerpointe) while we sleep. Sleep tape really helps us get better sleep. Over the last 6 years we have purchased 8 of these. They have great sound and are comfortable. These are simple wired headphones: there is no noise cancel & there is no volume control in the headphones. However, the wires are VERY thin and will eventually break. They have typically lasted 6 to 18 months. Even if I am very careful to not stress the wires, they will stop sending sound. Usually one side goes out first and you can make it go on again by fiddling with the wire. I think this could easily be fixed by going to a thicker wire. But NO, they continue to make this with stupidly thin wires that break easily. We have purchased several other brands. All very similar: all very thin wires that break in 6 to 18 months. Also tried bluetooth headphones. They were great at first: no wire to fuss with and battery lasted for over 8 hours. However, in about 5 weeks, the battery started lasting less time. Now it only lasts about 4 hours. And it wakes me up when the sound stops. The wired headphones last longer. Don't misunderstand me, the Cozy phones are great headphones for sleeping. And I am going to buy another pair. But I am frustrated by the short life.

Did Not Work Well On Plane :(
I bought these because another reviewer said they were good on a plane. These didn't work well for me while flying. Regular ear buds always fall out of my ears and I spend most of my time pushing them back in, which hurts after a while and takes way too much maintenance to enjoy or relax. Other types of head phones don't fit on my head with my airplane sleep pillow. I thought this headband style would solve both of those problems. These were a total waste of money for my purposes. The speakers are movable inside the headband, so you have to adjust it when you first receive it to place the speakers in the right place for your ears. No problem initially, except that the speakers continue sliding around after you place them. The plane pillow also moves them around when you lean on it. Bad. My biggest disappointment was that the earphones did not in any way block out the plane noise. They rest along the outside surface of your ear and they're a flat disc shape inside the headband, so their shape doesn't conform to the contours of your ear at all. I could barely hear the music unless I put the volume way up and blasted my ears out. If I took the palms of my hands and pushed the speakers against my ears, then I could hear the music by shutting out the surrounding noise. I wasn't going to sit with my hands pressing on my head the whole flight. In addition, the lycra band is loose and slippery, and it moved around on my head as I shifted in my seat. They come with a travel bag, but are not good for air travel. I can't even think of any friends or family I can foist these on. Total waste of money :( Update: Since I didn't get around to writing my review until after the return window had closed on Amazon, the manufacturer contacted me by responding directly to my review and offered a full refund. While phoning Amazon on another matter, their customer service representative told me not to give the manufacturer any of the information they requested about me or my order for a refund, because the headband was sold by Amazon. She then refunded about half of the original amount I paid. I didn't have to ship them back.

Lightweight and cooler than other wider, fleece models
I have been wearing these headphone bands almost nightly for the past 5 years. This is the third brand I have tried and these are my favorite. The material is lighter and cooler than my two previous fleece versions. The band is also not as wide which adds to the comfort. I was surprised by some of the negative reviews, but I think some people might mistake these as "noise canceling" head phones that can block out loud noises like snoring. The best feature about this style of headphone is how comfortable they are for side-sleepers. If you are using an iphone with these to listen to a podcast or a "white noise" app the fact they are attached to a cord might be an issue. Because I use them with a square 6th generation Nano (about the size of an Apple watch) I can just keep in in a small front picket on my nightgowns or pjs so the fact it's connected to a cord is not a problem. I agree with another reviewer that when you use these sleep headphones while playing a white noise, music or a podcast then while also wearing a pair of foam earplugs you can really mask the other noises that can disrupt your sleep. Because my husband sleeps with foam earplugs himself I don't know if the volume level I need so I can hear earplugs. Obviously because I am wearing foam ear plugs I have the volume louder than regular users. Because my husband also sleeps with foam earplugs I can't really comment about how much sound, if any, can be heard coming from these headphones by anyone else sharing the bed. I appreciated the other reviewers suggestions to tighten the headband to fit better on smaller heads, but I didn't have any problem with the band being too loose. My sleep headband is 22 inches (55.88cm) in diameter. In case it will help someone determine how this will fit for them my head is exactly 22 inches around using a tape measure just above my eyebrows. Over time with my nightly use the internal wires of my previous brands have become damaged right at the point where the headphones connect to my Nano. I will begin to get sound from only 1 earphone. Although I can initially correct this by manipulating the cable my other 2 brands eventually got to the point where only one speaker will play. I see on this new pair of CozyPhones there is some added reinforcement to the cable around the very end that connects to your device . Hopefully with this added stability I will get longer-lasting performance from this brand. They state in their product description "will not kink, twist or break under normal use" and they have a !00% satisfaction guarantee so if I encounter a problem I will update my review if needed. The little travel bag was a nice added touch! The price of these sleep headphones have fallen over the past several years so it is certainly worth the $20 cost to get a better night's sleep.

They work, but far from ready for prime time
I really wanted to like these. Every night I spend at least an hour, often more, awake in bed next to my wife listening to music, podcasts, or watching videos. I like to fall asleep with music but it is a pain dealing with earbuds when you’re the kind of person who sleeps on their side. The best solution I’ve found so far are Trekz Titanium bone conducting headphones. Those ride on your temples, not your ears, are reasonably comfortable, and, using Bluetooth, have no audio cord to deal with. Still these looked nice so on Prime day I took a shot and bought a set. They are designed for somebody to lay down while wearing them, I’ll give them that. The audio cord comes out the back, not the side, so you don’t even notice it when you’re laying in bed. The instructions were clear on how to get them adjusted so I had them working in no time. They were a little warm, but not bad and I figured when winter came that would be a bonus. They were also a bit on the quiet side, but not overly bad. I wasn’t more than a couple of minutes into listening to some music when my wife tapped me on the shoulder. They were so loud in the room that she said it was as if I was playing the music from a speaker instead of headphones. Music, played at a normal listening volume, leaked so badly around the earphones that it woke her up! This was the first problem and it was significant. So I decided then to check them out for what they were really designed for, listening while falling asleep, so I put on “From Sleep” by Max Richter, turned out the lights, and rolled over on my side. Immediately one of the earpieces shifted out of position. I corrected it. It shifted again. I corrected it again. Things were fine for a few minutes, then I readjusted my posture and BOTH earpieces shifted out of position. This was becomming annoying. I tried it a few times more, then the edge of the headband slid down from my forehead over my eyes, painfully pressing on them. At that point I gave up. The next night I tried them again and had the exact same experiences. The next day I returned them. Maybe the problem is my head is too fat, but I doubt it.

COZYPhones : Sleep or Meditation From HALO.
I Bought Them For My Wife Whom Has Epilepsy. And Music Keeps Her In A Calmer Mood At Bedtime. I Cannot Say They Are Perfect, But They Are Well Bilt & The Sound Quality Is Very Good. My Only Suggestions Would Be To Make Three Sizes ( One For Men, One For Women & Another For Younger Children) Now Although It Would Increase The Cost A Little Bit, My Wife Said A Small Pouch On The Front (With A Gel Pack) Would Be Fantastic. This Would Assist Folk's That Have Migraine Issues. I Tested Them Myself & Enjoyed Them While Relaxing In Bed. Unlike Your Ear Buds or Over The Ear Headphones, It Felt More Like Wearing A Headband Wired With Sound. I Would Of Loved To Had A Pair Back In My More Younger Day's While Skiing In The NW Cascade's. Bottom Line, They Are Well Belt, Good Sound Quality & Well Worth The Money Based On Similar Ear Buds Etc. The Ear Speaker's Are Adjustable Within The Sleep Band & They Are Comfortable. I Did Make A Few Minor Suggestions To The Manufacturer For Future Improvements, But My Wife Loves Them & She's Not An Easy Person To Shop For. I Will Be Contacting The Makers On A Few Minor Improvement's Made Available By Option's, With Exception To The Size Issue's. Some Men May Argue This Point, But Face It Guy's, We Have Larger Heads Then Our Female Partner's. So For Relaxation & Even For Personal Sport Activities, I See Much Innovation's Being Made Into The Cozy Phone's At A Very Minimum Cost To The Manufacturing Of Them As Per Size's Based On Head Size. In My Mind, If You Are Relaxed By Music & Or Soft Sounds At Nap or Bed Time, You Will Find The CozyPhones Perfect While Relaxing In Pre Slumber Mode. ** I Was Not Paid Nor Did I Receive Any Gift's For This Honest & Detailed Review From The Manufacturer/Seller.

Very good headphones for sleeping (just slightly too big)
A friend recommended headphones such as these for listening to music or podcasts in bed, and I chose the CozyPhones ( CozyPhones Sleep Headphones & Travel Bag , Lycra Cool Mesh Lining and Ultra Thin Speakers. Perfect for Sleeping, Sports, Air Travel, Meditation and Relaxation - BLACK ) because the material of the headband seemed light and cool. I'm very happy with the purchase and I would recommend this product. I did worry about the cable getting tangled around me, but this hasn't been a problem. The headband is comfortable, the sound quality is good, the travel bag for the headphones is very useful. The only thing that could be better, for me, is the size of the headband, which is slightly too big for my head, which causes it to move a bit when I turn my head against my pillow. However, I still gave it the 5 stars, because the headphones work well enough otherwise.
