Victoria Gourmet Shallots 2.5 ounce Jar Premium Spices and Seasonings Sweet and Tangy Use in Sauces, Soups, Stews,

I thought the fancy gourmet spice store's shallots were the best until these arrived. Doing a side by side comparison, the store's shallots are tiny little pieces, while these are just beautiful. Large and thin, they quickly absorb whatever liquid you immerse them in from sauces to vinaigrettes. They smell fresh, the jar is lovely, and I can't imagine buying anything else. BTW, the price looks very high until you compare it, ounce for ounce, to the more well known brands.

Very close to fresh shallots in flavor. The downside is they are advertising 4.1 oz jars and shipping the 2.5 oz size. Check out my pic of the jar I received. I was refunded so all went well. Still, they are really good dried shallots even if they are more than $5 per ounce. I'd buy them again but only if they were actually shipping the 4.1 oz jar for the same money.

Love the product. Sweet and perfect to add to soups and other meals. just more expensive than seems it should be.

Try using these in spaghetti, soups, quiches, frittatas, on pizza's,.... Keep some in the fridge in a small jar of olive oil to soften them for quick sandwich wraps, scrambled eggs,.... I LOVE Penzey's Spices, but their shallots don't even come close to these! And their neat square jar is great for other usages.

I really like the product! I used it often in most dishes I prepare because I like the enhanced flavor it adds to your food!

Liked it or wouldn't have reordered it.

This is not 4.1 Oz as described. It is 2.5 oz. The flavor is fabulous however you are not receiving what you order.

Purchased these in the past! thrilled with the size and flavor not to mention the convenience!
