Arrow 801 Suzi Sidekick Portable Sewing, Crafting, and Quilting Storage and Organization Cabinet, White Finish

It was work putting it together - lots of screws, very tight ones. It uses a clever system for assembly, but you must be extremely careful to get the pegs exactly perpendicular or things won't fit. Very good quality for a budget-limited item. Very clear and easy to follow instructions. Overall great quality for the price.

I like this cabinet along side my arrow bertha sewing table. It provides me with handy storage for my threads and a good working surface for my ipad. All size spools fit in one drawer or the other. I do not like that the cabinet does not have locking casters. I have uneven floors and it rolls a little to easily. I’ll get some furniture caster cups to solve that problem.

Storage cabinet in oak matched the other furniture in sewing room. Cabinet is small so fit nicely near desk. The four drawers are perfect for storing the extra sewing supplies we seem to collect over the years. Amazon had the best price with free shipping, so I let UPS man do the lifting. Box was only 40 pounds, but akward to move on my own. I read instructions and took my time putting item together. At 1st the door didn't fit well, but after adjusting the hinges I was happier with the results. I stuck a large bow on cabinet and easily rolled it into her home. My mother was thrilled with her gift.

Great little cabinet. Easy to put together. Good storage. Casters are a bit cheesy and it would be nice if there was a lock.

Not great. I agree with the other review about the assembly being tedious. Holes not lining up and instructions not as precise as should be but all in all once assembled it serves its purpose as a sewing supply cabinet. The picture along with the description shows a blonde wood cabinet the call black. I ordered it thinking it would be the blonde colored wood but indeed did come black. Unfortunately my other pieces are a lighter wood so it doesn't match my theme. That's ok. Contrast is good, sometimes. Don't know what to say folks other then if you find one out there other then this one then you should think about buying it instead. If you do end up buying this one then keep in mind everyone's reviews. I'm not sorry I have it. Just wish for a little better.

The unit arrived in good order -- heavy with lots of pieces and hardware. It went together well into a sturdy unit that will serve to hold quilting supplies and double as a side table to a comfy chair. A good value.

To their credit, Arrow has good documentation online, with additional documentation that identifies all those little pieces of hardware, although the instructions included with the cabinet kit look like poor Xerox copies. The concept behind the storage is very nice, with pullout trays, but I must say, the MDF quality is less than stellar. The edges of the pieces are raw, and so I used varnish to seal the edges and bought melamine edging strips to hot-glue on. Any unwanted moisture getting into the room with this furniture is going to be absorbed through the raw edges will expand the MDF and will ruin the cabinet. I don't think it would raise the price of the cabinet too much to finish the edges, and it would be worth it for the durability and general appearance.Also, I was not thrilled with the oak-look vinyl finish, and would stick with the white. My advice to Arrow--you have great design ideas, but please increase the quality of materials.
