I bought these to repair a cheap ottoman. The factory threaded insert was very thin and broke easily. The uxcell product was much sturdier and longer. It was a little wider than my 1/2" drill bit, so I had to ream out the bore a little bit. The hex top requires a 3/8"/20 mm hex drive/Allen wrench. Would definitely buy this again.

These seem to be a good quality. However, I had purchased a 13mm drill bit for my hardwood chairs (per the product description) and that was too small because the wood started to split when I screwed in the product. I probably should have purchased a larger drill bit, but instead I enlarged the 13mm holes by reaming them out and then lubricating the hole with some Vaseline before screwing in the insert. Also, keep in mind that if you purchase a drill bit, anything larger than 13mm will likely not fit into your drill if you have a 1/2" drill chuck, so make sure you purchase one with a reduced shank. The 13mm non-reduced-shank one just barely fit into my 1/2" drill check.
