Very good, but if you are only buying one book on ducks, get the Storey.
This book is really very good. The pictures are beautiful and the whole book is really well done. If you have other duck books and are looking for one with great pictures, this is it. On the other hand, if you are only going to have one book on keeping ducks, get Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks. It is the most complete of any that I have found (and I have dozens).

this was a great first book for me when I began to raise ducks and geese from a basic farm background that included nothing about any king of feathered animal. It was quite helpful to the very inexperienced.

I got this book for my 14-year-old son who loves water fowl and wants to be an ornithologist. He loves it and carries it with him everywhere!

Good if you want to see photos of dead animals
I bought this book because it was published by TFH... a pet guide publisher. As a pet duck owner, the last thing I wanted to see was a photo of a dead duck on a barn floor. Why the author thought to include this is beyond me (or why the publisher didn't edit it out). This book is not for animal lovers... lots of "for table" and killing/culling references.

Great book and info. Arrived damaged.
I’m annoyed that this book arrived damaged. Especially since it was supposed to be a gift. It is not giftable at all in this condition. Very disappointing. Information is great, but arriving this way is inexcusable.
