Rat Training: A Comprehensive Beginner's Guide (Complete Care Made Easy)

This was a great introductory book for my 9 year old into the world of Rats and becoming a potential owner of one. It has great details, nice photos, and a variety of topics are covered. It made for an easy read for him.

This book has a lot of information. I do wish that it had a less bias view on having one or two rats. Other than that it had good information and I enjoyed it.

Love this book, very informative on all things Rats. My rattie girls are already doing tricks!

This book is nice, I suppose, but only around half (if that) is actually about rat training, despite the title.The beginning is all about basic care and housing. It also on several occasions refers the reader to other books; I'm reading Rat Training, A Comprehensive Beginners Guide, I don't really want to be referred to another book on training.Once you get to the meat, there's precious little. Only one method is taught, and the book just moves from trick to trick through its few tricks without discussions of alternate methods, difficult trainees, etc. The book then moves on to rats and other pets (with tips on training dogs, for some reason). Then the last major section is profiles of rat trainers. This book is an okay intro to rat ownership, but not particularly useful for rat training.

It’s a quick read and nothing too complex the tricks are simple and the whole book can be read in one go! I trained my friends dog in less than 10 minutes, it’s a good all encompassing training book.

I actually bought this book as a joke for my dad as he has a couple of rats move in under his shed. He has tried allsorts to get rid of them without any luck and they had become extremely brazen in their trips across the garden to steal bird food from the bird table. I explained to my dad that maybe he was going about it the wrong way and perhaps needed to work with the rats in order to get rid of the problem! hehe. ;o). Anyhow, despite this purchase being a bit of a joke my dad has read it and said it's actually a very good book.

Rat Training: Complete Care and Training (Complete Training Made Easy) An excellent book. I don't particularly like books for animal care and training, I prefer to use experienced owners. Having read the first couple of chapters, the authors are actually reinforcing what I've been told. Makes a change to most books which contradict themselves. Really impressed with this book and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of inviting rats into their homes. Buy the book BEFORE you get your rats. A very interesting and informative book. It contains all you need to know about rat care, health and training. Very useful book if you are new to rats or if you are just new to the training endeavour of rats/rodent.

Exellent book, very informative, I would recommend this book to new rat owners.
