This product was as described and the price was acceptable. It seems to be a heavy duty mortar and pestle. Online and paper instructions for seasoning were simple to follow. I haven't used it yet, but I"m happy to have it in my pantry and seasoned for herb preparation.

Very well made. The seasoning directions were detailed and easy to follow as well.

It is heavy and doesn’t feel like if you push to hard it will slip or break. You have to put a lot of pressure for it to work great. It came with easy instructions on how to season it and clean it. Best present!

When I was looking at these, I didn't pay attention to the size details. I just pictured the size of my mother's in my mind, which was much smaller. When it arrived and I saw how massive this mortar and pestle was, I was amazed! I love this so much! I bought this because my family LOVES spicy. I make hot wings constantly and I combine crazy hot sauces together to make these insane hot wings that my family just loves so much. So I decided to buy some dehydrated Carolina reaper peppers. Of course I didn't want to have to cut these peppers using my hands in gloves any longer than necessary... so I purchased this. So far, this has worked great! I have only used it one time, and I plan on using it here soon. The first time I only did a small portion of a dehydrated pepper, and I felt like I needed more. This made things so much easier!

So I did NOT like this part: there is no warning telling you that you have to hand grind small portions of white rice over and over again until the rice comes out clean in the item description. I have already ground white rice EIGHT TIMES and the rice is still coming out gray from the granite. How many times do I have to do this? I got it four days ago and I don't have a lot of hand strength so I haven't been able to use it yet! Then I have to grind garlic and spices. How hard is this? And no warning! I have to say it's really beautiful. I can't wait.

I briefly hesitated on ordering this product because of the issues that others had with gray dust or rocks ending up in their food. I haven't come across that issue. I would recommend that the directions to clean and "pre-season" it are followed so that the same issue that others have had doesn't occur. It is heavy and comes with a small wooden spoon and silicone scraping tool. Both have come in handy while using this. This is a medium sized mortar and pestle, so I wouldn't use it for making large quantities of guacamole or other like dishes, but it is perfect for grinding spices or making small batches of dips. It doesn't take up much space, and looks good on a counter top. I love it!

I have been asked to rate this item before I’ve had an opportunity to use it, but I am very happy with everything about it. It is heavy and attractive which will make it easy to use and you won’t need to be in a hurry to take it off your counter. I also liked the thoughtful items that were included like the rubber pad it sits on that will keep it steady while you’re using it while keeping you from scratching your counter top. And the handy spatula will make sure you don’t waste any guacamole. I couldn’t ask for more.

Brought as Xmas gift 2022, for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. Used many times since . The delivery time was fantastic arrived well before the date.Only downside the little spoon is too little and unpo spooning stuff out it has split and broke.Beautiful addition to her kitchen.
