Prima Marketing Art Basics 3D Matte Gel, 8 Ounce, Transparent

I wasn't sure if this product would be worth buying or not, because I have so many other mediums. I use gel medium for pasting down most everything in my mixed media art. I heard an artist on YouTube say that the 3D Mattte Gel by Prima was excellent for holding down larger items such as beads, wood, chipboard, heavier items, so I thought I would give it a try. I am so happy I decided to try this product because it is absolutely amazing! It is translucent and will hold down items that you would otherwise worry about falling off of your canvas or page. This is excellent for holding down beads, pendents, metal objects, etc for mixed media work. It is definitely worth the expense of yet another medium. I will buy it again and again because it does the job. 3D Matte Gel...perfect name!

Useful stuff. I was filling damaged areas on a canvas to make the indents even with the surrounding paint before I matched the colors to hide the damage. It took 6 or 7 coats to fill the holes. Worked out fine. I appreciate that it is somewhat flexible in nature - which will help the repair last longer than a more rigid filler.

Really easy to use

Nice thick paste but very difficult to get off your fingertips. I'll try to remember to do it when it's still wet, but once it's dry, it just doesn't come off. I suppose that indicates it's a very good gluing product! It 'sticks' to things, though, on your fingertips.

I make and sell greeting cards to benefit our local library, and I wanted to use this transparent matte gel to add an extra dimension to some of my stenciled elements. This Prima Gel can be mixed with water color paint (the kind that comes in tubes) to produce any color you need.Please see customer image for an A7 (5" x 7") birthday card where I stenciled the vine using a mixture of the Prima gel and Da Vinci sap green watercolor pigment. The 'Happy Birthday' die cut was colored using the same sap green pigment.

Good adhesive for heavier embellishments

I had a heavy paper that I wanted to use the gel with Everything went on GREAT no bubbles was extremely happy with the end results

Prima zum aufkleben von Resindrucken auf den Oberflächen. Hält richtig gut. Beim benutzen aber am besten Handschuhe tragen, dann klebt auch nichts an den Fingern, weil es dauert ewig die zu reinigen.

As described. Superb item, glue down metal well. Once it dry, the over paste dissappear as dry transparently, which is handy. First time in using this so very pleased with the product and outcome. Quite sticky in contact with skin. Be aware.
