Far better than I expected
I like to watch/listen to YouTube vids while playing a game. I hesitated for a long time to buy this and just used a tablet case with a stand instead. I finally bought this earlier this month. It holds my Fire 10 tablet without a struggle as well my Nintendo Switch when I tested it with that as well. It works great and I highly recommend it if you're on the fence about it. Its strudy, and each joint has its own screw to tighten or loose, if needed. I plan to buy a second one next month. The following 2 issues are likely a me issue in regards to how I use it, but regardless, I don't think they take away from recommending it. The first is when typing on the tablet you need to hold it with the other hand, else its awkward due to it bouncing with each tap. Again, that's a me thing and just how physics works, so I figured its worth a mention. The second issue is paint getting scraped off of it when pushing it away or pulling close, which I do a lot. Easily fixed by not tightening the screw that connects the arm to the base. I figured in case anyone might do what I did/do I'd mention so that you know where that random small spot of black specks came from that took a little too long to figure out. We all have our moments, lol.Not that it matters to anyone but me, but in regards to my picture, its not normally that close and doesn't cover my tv screen. Its like that purely for the picture.

Best phone holder for bed
I use this to hold my iPhone and kindle When I’m reading in bed. There’s a small learning curve to figuring out how to put your phone in the holder with only two hands - you can thread the charger through the bottom, and then plug it into your phone, and that helps. It’s very sturdy, even though it’s very light, and it will hold your phone in many different positions. After a year and a half of using it every day, sometimes for long periods of time, it still works. Recently I had my first problem with it, the last ball joint came loose and so my phone was prone to tip sideways, this was easy to fix by unscrewing the joint and putting a little epoxy in it. It is good as new again. I can’t hold my phone due to physical illness and damage, and it’s really helpful to have this tool that will hold it right in front of my face for as long as necessary. I tried to other phone holders before getting this one, one that went around my neck and was very uncomfortable, and one that relied on a single flexible tube. The flexible tube that attaches to your table is really bouncy, so when you scroll or turn pages there’s a lot of rebound, and that makes it hard to read. Every phone holder has this problem to some extent, but this one has the least. Also, If you can prop one hand up on pillows to give it a little support, that helps.

Works well for the price, with a minor mdification
I like to read in bed using my iPad Mini and the Kindle Reader app. This mount, attached to my headboard, fills the bill. It's a little flimsy in that no matter how still you lie it will move a _little_ constantly if you don't use a hand to steady it. But one finger on the side of the iPad does it and I'll be turning pages anyway. The reviews about the instructions are right. I forget now, as I'm writing this months after getting it and putting it together, but I recall one area where the wording had me baffled, where something is referred to with one term in one place and a different term elsewhere. Best bet is to simply ignore the written instructions and use close examination of the parts along with the diagrams. Instructions could use a serious re-write, or start over from scratch, by someone whose first language is English. Also without a minor modification it simply had too much tension and would NOT stay put where I wanted it. I remedied this pretty easily by just removing one of the pair of springs nearest the base, see the attached photo. With both springs in place it simply would not stay extended as far as I need, as in the photo, but with one removed it's perfect. Stays right where I want it. You may or may not have an issue like this depending on how extended you need it to be when in use.The bottom line is that you get what you pay for. It doesn't cost much and isn't fancy, or perfect, but it's "good enough." I am writing this as I came back to the item to buy another that I want to mount on the bookcase beside my easy chair and as I call it "the reading throne" (no, not the bathroom, my big recliner with the bookcase beside it!) in my living room so I can make the same use of my iPad there. I have a lapdesk there that I use for large books, and of course it's super easy to just hold an iPad if sitting but I recline and snooze in the chair some too, so I have the same use case as the one on my bed.
