Turning Point is very well written by a very literate physicist Fritjof Capra who also wrote the fasinating The Tao of Physics which can be read in tandem with Ken Wilber's - Quantum Questions. Review: A Must Read For Everyone Concerned About Society and Our Changing Culture. - This book takes an historical look at how science started in the days of Newton in the 17th century. It goes on to describe and explain what has happened since. There are fascinating descriptions of new ideas and of understanding how we view people and the world today. The author, Fritjof Capra, writes very clearly and explains complicated ideas in very simple terms. This is a very thoughtful book that should be rewarding for any thinking person.

This book takes an historical look at how science started in the days of Newton in the 17th century. It goes on to describe and explain what has happened since. There are fascinating descriptions of new ideas and of understanding how we view people and the world today. The author, Fritjof Capra, writes very clearly and explains complicated ideas in very simple terms. This is a very thoughtful book that should be rewarding for any thinking person.

Frankly, at the outset I had my doubts about this book, but it was recommended by a good friend and scientist in Argentina. Eventually I caught the rhythm and vision of the book--yes, I needed to stretch, ponder, and be willing to listen and re-conceive many things. As other have said, the book might be some decades old, but it reads extremely relevant, perhaps even more relevant now, perhaps even more urgent, and more accessible now in 2020. Going through this 400+ page book was a journey and like all journeys or explorations, it requires adaptation, change, and flexibility.
