Neewer Table Microphone Insulation Windshield with Tripod, Sound Absorber Foam for Recordings (Microphone Holder and Shock Mount Not Included)

Been using this with a couple of HyperX Quadcasts we're setting up for starting to record, stream, and vet for media campaigning. Overall I'm pleased with the build, good quality additions, and overall price point. It also sets up nicely with our older Yeti Snowball and a few beefier mics we have lying around. Our only complaints so far are that we're still looking for a smaller form factor. But compared to most of what we've found on the market, this is one of the better designs you can set up quickly on a desktop, coffee table, or a stand without much effort. One other minor gripe would be to add a more stable hole with adjustments at the center of this stand, so you don't have to thread the mic through the rear slide.

If you have an informal set up like I do, this works great. Not sure how well it would work for professionals, but for this amateur recording audiobooks, it does the trick.

The screws could be tighter for a more sturdy and stable hold, but the job gets done regardless. The sound isolation is surprisingly good on this one! Just make sure to get a sturdy stand with this

I know hardly anything about sound equipment/accessories and wanted something that I could use to filter out background noise in my loud apartment building. My mic kept picking up sounds from the businesses downstairs, talking neighbors and also heavy traffic flow. This shield is perfect for buffering out all those sounds! Granted, I record spoken word so I am not sure how well it will be for those that are using it for music related recording.

I was looking for an alternative sound isolation product to replace the portable booth box that I put together and have used for years. It was never the right height for me and I felt like I had to stick my head into the box in order for the sound to be what I needed. I was going to LA for several months and wanted something smaller to travel with. I was hesitant to purchase this product because it looks too small in the pics that some reviewers attached, but it's just perfect for me. My Samson Meteor USB mic screws right on to the attachment and the tripod is just the right height for me to record my voice-over auditions. It isolates outside sounds better than what I'm used to, so needless to say, I'm so happy with this.

Purchased for our son who does voice overs and voice acting. He was very excited to receive this item and reports back the quality was surprising. Definitely worth the investment for any at home studio addition.

There are larger units like this on the market, but the idea of a smaller sound absorption unit for microphones is very good and Neewer has been making some good, economical gear. This unit is too compact: about an inch to two inches too small for most professional mics.Also, it could use a sturdier stand.I'm using it with an EV RE50, the professional standard "hand mic" seen on TV news everywhere. There is no room to position the mic with the attached cable other than straight up. If you're using a professional studio mic like the EV RE20 or the Shure SM7B with a shock mount, good luck.

tough mini stand! it's super strong! the ball feet on it keep it from skidding or scratching my table and it can hold the weight of my mic, shock, and the panel with my pop filter and I get the best vocals with this much sound isolation. I get clean vocals up close with no spits. It's so compact yet works like a pro!

The media could not be loaded. Similar products cost at least double in Toronto. So for the $40 I paid, I'm happy. I had no use for the stand it came with, as I already have one. I have no complaints

Contrairement à d'autres modèles, celui-ci est assez lourd pour que le poids du micro ne le fasse pas plonger vers l'avant. J'ai un UM1 BIRD. ça tient bien (pas hyper hyper stable non plus mais si on fait gaffe ça tient). Dans une pièce avec plein de bruits extérieurs, la différence est notable, mais dans une chambre avec matelas, etc, je ne suis pas certaine qu'il y a une grande différence. Mais je le garde, au cas-où ;)

Neewer as a newer brand, I have recently followed brand, which is high quality build, nice design, value for money. Cheaper, but not cheap. Very handy and portable tabletop sound proof shield, does felt effect much different than without using it. Only one issue with it, which is too big if put front of screen, quite hard to see the software on the screen what I have use, but anyway, sound quality is the most important.
