A gift of LOVE
I bought this for a little boy that his parents couldn't afford. He was the only boy at church that didn't have one to play with. I gave it to him and the smile that came across his face was good for me

Good, but not sure for beginner child
This is a classic Duncan yo-yo with a spinner. In retrospect, after buying, I’m not so sure that a to-yo with a spinner is the best for a beginner. It is not responsive every time without some understanding of how to use a yo-yo. It’s a good yo-yo but comes with a learning curve for young users around 8 or so.

The Mac-Daddy of Duncan Yo-Yos!!!
The mac-daddy of Duncan Yo-Yos! Put it on my desk at my office at work and people my age (early Generation X and older) are delighted to see it, pick it up, and play with it. Younger people mostly don't notice it......the good old days of simple toys are apparently lost on Millennials.......

Good classic Duncan beginner yoyo, but incorrect description information
This yoyo has that same classic shape, look, & feel as the original classic Duncan Imperial did. It plays just like the original too… except a little better. It sleeps easily (if your string isn’t too tight.The reason mine did not get a better rating is because of the way the ad information read. It suggested that the Imperial yoyo could be easily unscrewed to put on a new string. IT CAN NOT BE UNSCREWED. It’s metal post and axle are glued to the side shells. When I tried to unscrew it, the whole one side came off from the post and axle. It could not be put back on. I am trying to glue it back together. So BEWARE it does NOT come apart like the description says.

save yourself the disappointment
this yoyo is a waste of money. I got two for my kids to replace a cheap birthday goody bag one and this one was worse. Don't waste your money on this. The string does not catch at the bottom and so it's impossible for a kid to make the yoyo climb back up the string. Disappointing.

Brings back good memories
This brings back memories from a teenager, I used a Royal then, the competition but this one works great. I was surprised how fast it comes back.
