After I rounded up all the pieces, I decided to give it a shot, and I was pleasantly surprised. The instructions are easy to follow. The suctioning is really strong and you only have to prime the pump a few times and it self suctions until you lift the end up from the water. Make sure you have a few gallons of back up tank water prepared, because you’ll need to replace the water that you’re suctioning out. My turtle was fascinated by the device that i dubbed the turtle poop catcher. He was very nosey as I was turning over all of his tank rocks. He only scurried if i got too close. This was a good buy!!Update 9-27-19 started leaking from the seams on the 2nd use. I’m highly disappointed. Sending it back. Conceptually its a great product but its poorly made and leaks poop water. I had such high hopes. I was left bleaching down the area around my tank and followed up with vinegar water to make double sure i killed all the germs.
