4.5 outta 5 (1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ)
I put this one in to replace my old worn worn out driver seat. It uses the old base as the one that was in there. The old allen head style bolts were shot but I was able to use some hex head style bolts of the same size to replace the fubared ones. The only drawback i found with this seat is that it makes you sit about 2" higher than the old one. Other than that it seems to ne a good replacement.

Have 2nd pair of hands to make it a really easy install...
They look good and install fairly easy, with another pair of hands it's a snap... The cushions are somewhat stiff but for the $$$ they are a good value..

94 YJ Nice seats .issing hardware.
The seats came packaged well. They match my Smittybilt dark spice top perfectly. One seat was missing the bolts, the package was not opened but no bolts. The seats sit nice and look good. Install had no issiues. Time will tell on durability.

Good Product, Poor Instructions
Just finished the installation today though the product arrived three weeks ago. I have only ridden in the seat once but seems to be of adequate if not good quality, especially for the price. But the installation instructions were not the best. They call for reusing the existing bolts and spacers. Turns out the original bolts did not fit the seat. Clearly they were of different thread count or pitch. E mailed Smittybilt. After two business days, no response. So I called them and reached a human who was friendly and helpful. Turns out that "somewhere in the production run," they had switched from 5/16th coarse threaded holes in the seat to M8-1.25. Went to the local hardware store and bought the metric bolts which fit just fine but the heads were too wide to allow the sliders to slide. Couldn't find the M8s with a narrow head locally so ordered them from Amazon at this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BSC3MKZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Turns out though that these shipped from China and were hung up in customs so were not delivered for two weeks. Good news is they fir like a charm and did the job. Now, the next problem is partly of my own making, the slider locking/adjusting mechanism seemed simple enough so I didn't make any notes or take a photo. But after nearly three weeks to work out the problem with the bolts, my recollection of how the mechanism operates was vague. Took a while to reassemble it. It would have been helpful if the instructions indicated how to do it or had a diagram. But I am happy with the result. The seat is comfortable and feels sturdy. The first photo shows how badly the original seat was leaning back and how torn up it was, The second photos shows the new seat sitting up just fine and the third shows that the color match is quite good considering there is 37 years of wear and fade on the passenger side. If they instructions were better and mentioned the issue with the bolts, I would have gone at least four stars.

The instructions tell you to save and use the original bolts when you assemble the seat to the mounting frame. Something not ri
Never did see the first seat I ordered. I guess the shipper lost it. Smitty and Amazon made good on it by sending me another seat. I was very pleased with the quality, fit, and comfort well enough that I went ahead and replaced the passenger side. The only problem was the bolts from the original seats were the right size but the thread seemed to be off. I ended up running a threader tool through the bolt holes in the seats after which the original bolts worked.

Old bolts different thread. Drivers seat very difficult .
Color great. Installation way more difficult than stated.

Worked good
Bolted right into my 1994 YJ with the same hardware. Not the best seats on the market but they are WAY better than the originals that were quite worn out. Are more comfortable when off road than the originals.Update: Been useing for a while now and find that for the price these seats can not be beat. A special endorsement comes from my Wife who finds them to be most comfortable on and off road. Maybe she will go with me more often now.
