Invisible Problems "Buyer Beware"
I had a problem with the light I had in that it blinked all night long and was annoying. Besides that, It didn't have the range and Illumination you would expect from something so large. Trust me the thing looks like a Apple Air Tablet when mounted. It barley lit up a diameter of about 12 ft and a distance of about 100 ft. Beyond that the illumination becomes so washed that it is almost useless. Company did give refund after SEVERAL emails and "BAD RATING" on AMAZON.COM. Then Ben from CMVision asked me to take down the bad posting, I'm still out on that issue. =0)UPDATE: As of 09/04/2014 I still dont have a refund from CMVision. Even though I had the Postal numbers that they recieved my return shipment, Still No refundDO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY CMVision

This product works.
02-02-2015. I purchased 2 of these emitters.I also purchased several Dahua IPC-HFW4300S cameras (they are on Amazon).--- The emitters DO WORK with these cameras.I have some older cameras as well...--- the older cameras NOT SEE the infrared light (940 wave length)... at all.--- It was as if the emitters were not there. With the new cameras...--- the emitters definately increase the amount of light available for the cameras to see.The led's are completely invisible to the human eye.--- At night... no one will see anything from this emitter.--- They might see the led's from your camera(s)... but not the emitters.I was afraid the emitters would provide "to much light"... since my cameras also have led's.--- This was not case. The emitters did not overpower the camera. ie: no hot spot. There are a couple issues with this emitter...--- but they were not enough for me to return the them--- or to downgrade the 5 stars.1) This emitter send a strong beam of light in a cone shape. If your target area is close (less than 40 feet away)... coverage area is not large... about 20 feet of coverage.--- which for me was ok.Outside of "the cone"... subjects are still visible...--- but it's dependent on the leds in your camera...--- not the amount of light coming from the emitter. If your target area is 100 feet away... you get full coverage. (I will try to add a photo to this review later).2) The emitter comes with a bracket that attaches the emitter to a wall.--- You can see it in the product image.--- The emitter is the large square item with the "bulbs" inside it.--- The bracket is below it.The problem is.. (using the product image)... you can only tilt the light back and forth (up / down) ---- not left and right.Because of this... you cannot install the emitter sideways.--- you will not be able to adjust the emitter left and right (which is up and down when you install the emitter up-side-down - or right side up.I hope this makes sense. I will try to upload an image later.3) This emitter is heavy. Well built though. It is somewhat difficult to install upside down on the top of a 30 foot ladder.4) The power wire that comes out of the back and connects to an adapter (brick) is very short. To short in my opinion.I recommend getting an barrel extension in addition to the emitter. (Also on Amazon)--- This will allow the emitter to be further away from the brick. I purchased a 25 ft extension.5) The only way to test this emitter (and check alignment) is at night.So... install it - try to align it the best you can.--- Check the cameras at night when the emitter is on.--- Take a screen shot of the monitor..------- so when you go back out (in day light) to adjust the emitter... you have a visual reference to work from.--- You may have to do this a couple times.--- Another trick is hold a laser pointer against the side of the emitter and "guess-ti-mate" where it pointing by looking for the laser's dot.Other than that... I recommend this product. Hopefully it works for you. Make sure you purchase the right camera though. Not all cameras "can see" this light / wavelength. I've purchased 2 emitters so far... about to purchase 1 more.UPDATE: 2/4/2014 - Have purchase 2 additional emitters. They are on the way.

CMVision IR 200-940 & IR100-940 Poor manufacturing and design. Difficult company to deal with.
CMVision IR 200-940 and IR 100-940 units and service. We were originally excited to receive two of these units, and one of their smaller units. They were well packaged and at first glance looked well made, mostly due to the overall weight, size, glass, housing etc. But during the installation process, we discovered the flaws. Most other security camera and lighting products, or at least the higher quality imports, have better thought out mounting hardware. These don't.1. The mounting base should have an option to have the power cord go directly into a mounting surface with the base completely hiding the cord. These have the cord coming out of a hole in the side of the base. (You would have to cut and splice the cord if you removed it from the hole for a hidden install.) Better units will have a grove in the base allowing for exposed cord or hidden.2. Mounting base is very thin aluminum considering the weight of these units.3. When mounting, the installer has to be very careful to position the unit perfectly because of lack of available adjustment. There is a tilt adjustment but there is no secondary lock nut that would allow you to adjust degree of turn and lock it down. Unless you leave the threads loose, allowing the unit to spin freely in the wind, you would have to tighten the whole unit and remount if you needed to adjust. We did not leave them up for long, so I don't know if the threads would stay tight and hold position, but I doubt it since there is no lock thread locking nut.Besides the mounting base we were also unable to reap any benefit from the lights one installed. Which was quite a disappointment considering the equipment we had to rent to install these and the time it took. Then we had to rent the equipment again to take them down once we discovered they didn't perform. We really needed the 940nm lights for our security project so no one could see the glow that is visible in the 850nm range.Note - In all fairness to the manufacturer, the light emitted from these units MIGHT perform better with different cameras.***Our cameras were supposed to work in the 940nm range of IR light. When we received these units before installation and CMVision's smaller unit, the IR 100-940 (IR 100 VERY flimsy thin metal bracket mount), we took them into a dark room and tested them with our cameras to make sure our cameras could see the 940nm IR light. They lit up a wall and seemed to be what we expected. HOWEVER, once installed, they were useless. They were mounted 13' above an alleyway on a pole, pointed almost directly down. A slight angle outward to provide a little light down alleys. When it got dark, we thought the units must not have turned on. We could only see a very faint halo of light on the ground with our system. A pickup truck parked directly inline with one of the IR200s was invisible. Just as it would have been in the darkened alley with no IR light. We wondered if they were not functioning, so we grabbed another camera of the same model as our others, and pointed up to the IR 200s. They appeared bright when looking right at them or the pole just below the lights. Did they work...? Yes, at a few feet. Totally unacceptable. The company even suggested that they did not have adequate power going to them. We had standard 110 plugs installed in a utility box just above the light units. the CMVision provided cords were plugged directly at that point. So no power issues.RETURN of the units. After all the trouble we had, the poor quality and lack of performance, we thought it would be simple to return for a quick refund. After all, in the rare occasion we have ever had a problem with an Amazon purchase, return was fast and simple. We were wrong! Return was anything but simple. We would have been better off cutting our losses and just throw the units in the trash, but after the original attempt to return, it became the principle of the matter. We first sent in a request for return and were ignored. We then filed a claim through Amazon. Still no response. We then called directly to CMVision and were told to Email details. Then those were ignored. Then we called Amazon again and they got CMVision on the line and we were assured by both parties we would receive a return label that day. We did not. We then called CMVision days later and were able to reach them after several tries and ended up arguing details. Was told we would then get a return label. Later that day, we received an Email requesting our postal mailing address. We emailed the information back and asked when we would get the label. No response. Finally we received our return label by Email on Friday. We then used their return label at UPS and returned the units packaged in their original boxes. We tracked the UPS return and later discovered that CMVision had put the wrong address on their return. UPS was unable to deliver but UPS finally came through and it was delivered to a correct address for them and it was signed for. When they finally received the returns on a Monday, by Friday we still had not heard anything from them. We then contacted Amazon again to file another claim and expressed our extreme displeasure with CMVision. Amazon then took care of our refund directly.

USE THEIR WARRANTY!
these light up areas very well, when they work. They burn out very quickly (some in a batch) but the good ones just keep on lighting. Low power usage, with night vision goggles, you can walk your property in total darkness and see everything! If you want stealth lighting, this is the ticket: they are invisible to the naked eye, but with night vision devices, you rule your space!
