I took that device for my friend. So I ordered it from an Amazon.com Marketplace seller and hoped it would not get broken in transit. Well the seller sent it over 2,000 miles UPS and it arrived in perfect condition. I don't know much about electronics, but I am very pleased with this boombox. It is attractive and appears well made and durable to me. The radio, cassette recorder/player, CD player (which also plays CDs in MP3 format--such as talking book--I have one CD in MP3 format which contains the entire Old Testament in narration) all play and sound great to me. The cassette player will record from either the radio or CD player. As you can see, I am pleased with this item. Perhaps you will be to, if you decide to take a chance and order it.
