The Luminous and the Grey

The author's assembled insightful material on the gray and the luminous. The perspective's that of a working artist, so there's much relevance to contemporary stances on color and its suppression in blue-chip artistic practice. Highly recommend this short, pity book.

One of the most thought provoking books I've read on color. Well frankly all of his books are like that and for that I'm grateful. If you're serious about thinking beyond the normal conventions around how we see and think about color then read this book. You'll be forever changed.

A lovely informative read. poetic and factual. A clever insight into colour from the modern urban neon to the subtle world of neutrals, totally worth a read .

Very good, easy, informative read. Can't remember a word of it since reading it a coup,e of months ago, but hey, it kept my interest, and that's an achievement for any author.
