Which has been never since I got them. But it is nice to have the option...I have such limited previous bongo experience, that I can't accurately comment on their weight or sound quality relative to other bongos.However, they have a much better build quality than I expected, and even though our son (16 months) isn't interested in them yet, I am confident he will start.
