Scrying For Beginners (Llewellyn's For Beginners, 1)

It's full of practical advice that could be very useful for someone either first trying to scry or even ...
This book is only beginner in the sense that it's very accessible to virtually anyone interested in the subject with no previous knowledge of scrying required. The author doesn't focus on any one particular method but surveys each system, it's history, and its practical aspects in greater detail than most books on those particular methods would. His little chapters are packed with information. It's one of those books where you can tell the author is speaking from long experience, not just writing out the results of research into a subject as if it were putting up vinyl siding or installing a sink. It's full of practical advice that could be very useful for someone either first trying to scry or even an experienced scryer looking to explore the subject further. There's usually a dearth of advanced books relative to the profusion of books for beginners. But for a 'beginner' book this one is very advanced and gives advice that would benefit someone already experienced

I learned a lot from reading this book
I knew nothing about this subject after reading this book I have learned quite a bit I didn't realize there was so many different ways to cry but after figuring out all those different ways I realize I've been doing it for years without knowing I was doing it

Intro to scrying
This book has much to recommend it, but bogs down in a lot of material that is both peripheral to the subject and conjectural in nature. The basic techniques are interesting and of some worth, as are the historical parts and the information about constructing the devices for scrying. The author also has good insight into the psychology of this practice which is worthy. Where the book falls down is in the attributions to the value of such things as moonlight etc., all of which are not germane to the actual practice, but, I'm afraid, fodder for people who want fantasy as an addendum to this subject.

Scrying For Beginners
I got this book in time for a Christmas present. I looked through it before giving the gift to a friend. It looks like a very good book to guide you to open your subconscious to become a seer perhaps into the other side.

Not much depth.
This book covers a variety of different methods and gives an overview of how they may be performed. I found this book helpful as an introduction, but if a method appeals to you it's likely you'll want to find more comprehensive material going forward.

Good Book
Good book. It's not so deep like others dedicated to the same matter. But it helps a lot those who are starting their study in scrying techniques.
