At a loss for words
Warning, it's a long read, but I wanted to go into deep detail. To start, I have been a Rainbow vacuum user for so long. I love them and felt they worked amazingly. Next, I have 3 dogs & a cat. One is a thick coat lab and the cat sheds so much as well. Another next, I have horrible allergies and wanted something that would help keep them calm as well. I also have a lung disease and need something that will pick up as much junk as possible to keep them clear. Now, on to the Shark vacuum. I got tired of lugging around the Rainbow and wanted to look into a vacuum that my daughter could use and help out. I found this Shark vacuum and 6 others that grabbed my attention. I dug deep. I read through every review, good, bad, indifferent. I wanted a vacuum that was going to truly pick up pet hair/dander, as well as pick up sand & dirt. I was drawn to this specific vacuum saying pet & allergen vacuum and loved that so many of the reviews said it had amazing suction power. I thought there's no way ut can be as amazing as most were raving about. After 2 months of digging and narrowing down vacuums, I was left with this one. I finally decided to purchase it and see what all the fuss was about. It came in today and I immediately out it together to the it out. I had just vacuumed with my Rainbow vacuum 2 days before, so I didn't expect much. Oh....my....gosh...! I am blown away! Seriously, no joke! The picture you see attached was after 2 passes over a 2' x 2' area in my living room. Not kidding...pushed it forward, pulled it back. Did this one other time. I was completely astonished! There is no way my carpet is that dirty after using my Rainbow 2 days before! I swore by that vacuum and how great of a job it did, so I thought. This vacuum pulled out dirt, sand, pet fur from 3 families ago, it seems lol. I immediately took this picture and dumped the resivoir since it was full. I was excited to finish the rest of my living room and then move on to the rest of the house. It took me 30 minutes to vacuum my living room because I had to keep stopping to empty the reservoir. I am grossed out that it was that dirty, but so grateful that I purchased this Shark vacuum. The vacuum is super easy to put together. It's not heavy and is easy to use. I love that it has the large vacuum and the option to break it down to a hand held vacuum to get baseboards and hard to reach areas. I also love that the power switch has 3 positions; Off, Bare floor, and carpet. I love that there is a place on the vacuum for hose attachments. I love that the power cable is quite long. I love that it's compact enough to fit in my coat closet, but large enough to vacuum the living room quicker than the sport vacuum. It makes vacuuming a breeze. The price is amazing for being a Shark vacuum. This vacuum is so amazing that I finished vacuuming, rinsed the resivoir and filter, put it away, and immediately sat down to write this review. Seriously give this vacuum a try! Your only regret is that you didn't get it sooner. I will update this review if anything changes. I am convinced this is the perfect vacuum.

Great Suction Even When Detached from the Unit
This is a good vacuum. I purchased it because I have hardwood floors and I got tired of sweeping and watching the broom collect hair and dust that I have to keep removing. In addition, I have a nice amount of space to keep clean, and sweeping all day with a broom is not the most efficient way to spend my time 😂. It's a little heavy, but the canister detaches which allows you to get those spider webs, suck up trash around the baseboards, and it does a great job on carpet, especially when dust starts collecting near the baseboard and becomes challenging to remove. Anywho, this works for me and it was recommended by a friend. I am happy with it so far, and my house looks like I hired a maid 😊

Great suction and immediate difference
I had to replace my old vacuum and now I’m wondering where this one has been all my life. This is a very high powered vacuum with great suction. I don’t have to vacuum the same spot repeatedly, one strike does wonders. After the first use, I realized just how bad my old vacuum was as I emptied the filter and there was so much dirt pulled up that my last vacuum wasn’t getting. I’ve used it quite a few times and I love knowing and seeing that my rug is really clean. It also has the option to clean hardwood floors, which is does just as well. It’s not heavy and I’m able to store it easily. This is worth the money. I actually would have paid more for it!

So far seems to be quality and is easy to maneuver, lighweight.
The vacuum cleaner is light weight and easy to maneuver because it has a very small suction base. It can fit into tighter spaces but at the same time isn't covering a lot of territory with the narrow span. The cord is annoyingly short, requiring relocating to a new outlet before finishing a room. The cord is also poorly placed, necessitating a holding of it to avoid running over it and/or tripping on it. It seems to have good suction. The dirt, especially pet hair, gets hung up in the collection bin and has to be fished out. It does seem overall to be good quality and does function well. It's only been in use a few times, but so far it has worked well. With mostly hard surface floors and high-shedding pets, there's a need for frequent vacuuming. Time will tell how it holds up. It picks things up well, but another annoying issue is that it's not an easy transition from hard surface to carpet or rugs. It requires bending to push a button to change to new surface, just a minor inconvenience, but better vacuum cleaners make one spoiled for the less user-friendly models.

Best upgrade from cheap vacuums
I have been through so many Dirt Devil vacuums it’s not even funny. They just didn’t last long and the suction was never that great. My neighbor gave me an old Shark Navigator she got from an auction, and even though it had a hole in the hose it still worked surprisingly good. The only problem was that it had a really bad odor from the previous owners, and it was so old that I couldn’t even get the bottom open to clean the brush roll. Because of that experience, I finally decided to buy my own Shark Navigator and I’m so glad I did. This is honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made. The suction power is very strong and it picks up dirt, dust, and hair from my carpet really well. My floors actually look and feel cleaner after vacuuming. It was also very easy to put together right out of the box, which I appreciated. I also like that the dust cup holds a good amount of dirt and is very easy to remove and empty. The vacuum feels sturdy but still moves smoothly around the house. Overall, the cleaning performance on carpet is excellent, the suction is powerful, and the design makes it easy to use and maintain. If you’re thinking about upgrading from a cheaper vacuum like I did, this one is definitely worth it.

I'm sold. Beats my older Dyson.
I have been a Dyson monster owner for many years. This shark does better on several fronts. It is more maneuverable and has a lower profile front head so you can reach under cabinets to baseboards which the monster simply would not do. I realize Dyson has probably upgraded in this area I am comparing to an older model because that is what I have. Suction on the shark is awesome beats out the Dyson although again my Dyson is older and maybe a bit leakier in the seals. Biggest thing on this Shark which really is a game changer for me is the ability to pick up the vacuum with the handle and then vacuum using the wand in other hand ( this is shown on the box package) and really makes cleaning stairs so much easier. I have a flight of wood stairs. it was always a thrash with a Dyson because I would have to leave the base and use the long hose and wand which was always annoying to manage. this shark you can carry along with you and just vacuum as you go cuts the time and headache on stairs considerably and in fact with old Dyson I usually often would just skip doing the stairs and let them get dirtier and dirtier so much was it annoying. This is a seamless move from vacuuming the floor to lifting off the wand and walking up the stairs and vacuuming. Can also change attachments on the fly while vacuuming in carry mode. I will say the weight and balance of this vacuum when using on the floor is a bit heavier as other users have mentioned but unless you were doing a lot of vacuuming on a very large space or have strength issues this not an issue. I like the clasps that hook on the dust container on this vacuum the dysons were always a bit perilous if you pushed one wrong button you could dump the thing open when transporting it. Also I never felt super comfortable lifting the vacuum using the handle on my Dyson because it felt like you could rip the dustbin off if not careful (outward pull). This feels more secure. Durability remains to be seen as I've had Dyson about 10 years so that is a plus although have replaced a few parts along way... Hoses especially. One thing I don't like as much about the is when I empty the shark the dust container has some tubes/structure in which debris tends to get hung up on when I empty. Have to mess with it a bit more to fully dump. the Dyson it was easy to just open and dump the whole thing out one shot. Overall awesome value great features. Unless it dies real early... I'm a fan

Strongest Vacuum Ever
This is the best vacuum i have ever had. To put it into perspective, I can't vacuum my rug with it because it's so dang strong, it suctions it off of the floor! (This isn't a problem, though, because I use the wand on the rug anyways.) Amazing for anyone with pets. It gets the cat hair right out of the carpet! Works on hard wood, tile, and carpet floors. I have a feeling this vacuum will last me a very long time.

I am convinced the person who designed this thing hates us all.
We have been faithful Shark owners for going on 15 years. We purchased this vacuum back in December, and all I can say is wow. This is the worst piece of crap I've ever had the displeasure of using. There are so many design flaws I'm convinced they were trying to make this the most difficult and user un-friendly vacuum in existence. I'll start with the handle. In order to remove the handle from the body, there is a 'button' near the base to release it. This button is conveniently immediately next to the port where the hose enters the vacuum. Awkward to get to, and the button is on the part of the hose that comes out. You have to push the button in and hold on to the button while you pull the hose out from the body. Sounds simple - I dare you to try it. There's no way to push the button in without using your other fingers to hold the body so you can push the button in. Really? then you have the accessory holder, conveniently attached right below the handle, so you can have your attachments with you as opposed to walking all the way back to the vacuum to get your crevice tool. So, here you are, trying to use the handle attachment with these tool hanging off the side. God forbid you accidentally bump it into something because that attachment is going to fall right off. So with the attachment holder on one side and the cord bracket on the other, you'll never be able to use the handle to go any further than maybe 2 feet into a tight space before you're banging on side of it into something. I guess that dust and dirt is there to stay. Oh, and for some reason, mine came with 2 crevice tools and no little brush thingy. The true horror in this abomination of a vacuum comes with the dust catcher. All of the other Shark vacuums I've used had a small release on the handle on top of it. Simple, want to dump the dirt out? simple. Grab the handle and squeeze the release and out she comes. Not on this one. nooooo. This one you have 2 clamps to release in order to take off the dust catcher. Opens the same way the other Sharks did, with a top and a bottom. But, for some ungodly reason, there is a piece of plastic right by the bottom opening button that attaches the front of the plastic to the back of it for what I can only assume is either for stability. What it actually does is turn into a dirt dam that will catch half of the hair/crumbs/etc above it so no matter how much you try and shake it all out, you're sticking your hand in to pull the stuff out. Open the top for the same thing - stick your fingers in to pull out the stuff. I'm dumbfounded this this made it from the design phase to production. I mean someone had to look at this thing and rubber stamp it as a Shark product. I think someone took all the complaints about their other products and compiled them into this steaming pile of garbage. I love Shark products, but I have a visceral hatred for this thing. I will say it has great suction, but good luck trying to use this thing on a carpet. I think I herniated a disc vacuuming my living room. It takes a lof of effort to push this thing on carpet. The great suction is the only, and I mean only reason this is getting 2 stars. Actually, as I type this, I'm realizing that I'm being too generous and knocked it down to one star because I seriously hate this thing that much. I actually like vacuuming but this thing makes me hate it. Stay with Shark, but get a different vacuum. I don't care what sale you're seeing- it is not worth it at any price. Avoid like the plague!!!!

Amazing suction power
So far, we love everything about this vacuum. I'm blown away by the power/suction it has. Not only does it pick up everything off of a rug, but also wood and linoleum floors (which is what we have mostly) but we use those vacuum-seal bags to store off-season clothes and linens and it sucks so much more air out sooo quickly! Our old vacuum was so lame compared to this one. But we have a big rug and a runner, and probably getting more rugs later. I like the fact that you can take the small canister off and use the extension wand to clean corners and up above on the ceiling (we have fairly high ceilings). It's also very lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of space. It fits in a cupboard we bought to store it, that is 16"x16"x 6'. We've only had it for a month, but our son and his girlfriend bought the vacuum and I went to look at it before we ordered it and they've had it for a few months and have no complaints about it. I'm really happy we spent a little extra to get this one. We haven't used it a lot, so haven't had to empty the canister yet, but my son showed me how to do it and it looks like a breeze. The other thing, is that it does pull easier than push and we're vacuuming a .5" pile carpet. Of course on the wood/linoleum floors, no problems. The one thing I was not happy about is that I tried to call the Customer Service number 15 min. before their posted closing time and they were closed and when I sent them an email it bounced. I've not yet pursued that, but I will. My son said they had no problems with them when they discovered they were missing one of the brushes and it was sent to them.. We also didn't get the pet brush that was supposed to come with it, but we don't have any pets, so not an issue for us. Overall, I'd say that this is a great product and with the short time we've had it, we like it.

Hands down the best vacuum I’ve used!
So I’m a clean freak, I knew my old vacuum wasn’t the best but it was sucking up the crumbs you know? I just got my shark today and this is what the canister collected! I thought my house was clean, but apparently my old vacuum was a POS. I’m so impressed by this vacuum. Wow! It’s super easy to use and put together. I love the feature of lifting it off the brush head. Makes vacuuming the stairs a dream! Highly recommend! Get one!

Good for the price
Overall I'm happy with the vacuum as it's great for the price. Easy to empty and clean, and great suction that you can control. The carpet brush seems to have good power. The unit overall is light and easy to lift and manoeuver. One major con...because the unit is so light and the carpet cleaner isn't too wide, using the tube with attachments in almost any capacity more than 1 foot away will tip the vacuum or handheld unit over. Maybe the Shark hose is too stiff and doesn't extend well enough without pulling the entire machine. This gets extremely annoying if you vacuum frequntly with the crevice tool or duster. I'm comparing this to my dyson multi-floor 2 which is heavier and has rarely tipped while using the hose with attachments. However, I wouldn't fault the Shark as it's $500 cheaper. Also, I found it to be a challenge to purchase accessories for the NV352 through the canadian website. The current option seems to be to try and find them on Amazon or somewhere else or order from the US website and pay US$35 international shipping.
