Does get HOT when you work it, I added an external Fan *by T***Y on June 27, 2021* So, a buddy has a 2015 Silverado, local shop put in a Kenwood head, Memphis door speakers, and BOSE adapter. He complained about distortion and he was right (Bose Factory amp is terrible) We decided to add a sub (Rodney's custom boxes, Google him, really good sub, well built) and this amp. It was the best decision ever. System is really loud, clean, sharp & punchy. This little amp (lots of tests on Youtube) Does it's rated power and does so with style. We're running the Sub channel at 2 Ohms, and DOES get hot, ended up spacing the amp up off the mount and adding a small squirrel-cage fan next to it. This is my goto small amp now, great for "very capable" systems (I wouldn't drive 4 SKAR12's or anything huge with it) But for a single 12" sub system, what a monster. Bravo Kenwood....
