Gorilla Packing Tape Tough & Wide with Dispenser for Moving, Shipping and Storage, 2.83" x 20 yd, Clear, (Pack of 1)

I don’t usually do reviews because I never am really that *amazed* by many items .. but I remember reading these reviews before I purchased this item, knowing I wasn’t totally convinced that I should buy this.. so let me say all of this to aid others who might be in the same boat I was two days ago…I wish I took a picture before shipping out all 10 of boxes today because this was the first time I have ever switched from Scotch to a new company for packaging tape, and I have to say that I would now choose Gorilla Packaging Tape over Scotch ANYDAY. This stuff was the strongest, highest quality tape I have ever used (and I ship out a ton of boxes ALL THE TIME).Here are a few of the amazing features of this item that I have found unique to Gorilla’s Tape vs. Scotch:- The dispenser has a sturdy, well-designed roller behind the blade that aids straight & easy application of the tape; the only Scotch Packaging tape I’ve used (as an equivalent comparison to this) has never contained a roller like this, actually let alone a roller at all! (SEE PHOTOS!)- The dispenser itself is thicker, very sturdy, and in one piece. This is hard to explain, but the holding area of Scotch dispensers is made up of two dividing pieces connected by a clasp so that rolls of tape can be taken out/put in, but I’ve always had trouble keeping these dispenser parts in order when taping things, and it always use to irritate the heck out of me. This Gorilla Dispenser DOES NOT DO THAT OR HAVE A DESIGN LIKE THAT AT ALL (thank gosh). If anyone knows what I mean, and if anyone gets irritated by the same Scotch issue, then BUY THIS.- The tape & dispenser are wider, so it covers a bunch more surface area when trying to tape large things/boxes. I literally used probably half the amount of tape I would have used if I stayed with Scotch.- The BLADE is WAY sharper and more sturdy that any Scotch dispensers. Please do beware of this, because it could hurt someone, but on another note, I didn’t have any of my normal issues of twisting/overlapping the tape or wasting the tape because this blade only required a small flick of the wrist instead of a whole arms worth of effort (… sorry Scotch).I feel that I have been missing out on this tape my whole life, and that’s definitely a weird thing to say, but I packaged and labeled 5 boxes under 5 minutes today because I used this tape for the first time today. I felt much more productive when my I finished my work faster and easier.Sorry for the long review, but I think this review section needed more positivity because this tape deserves the hype. This is the best packaging tape I've used. It's nice that it's wider than traditional packaging tape. Sticks great, I use one piece where a cheaper tape would have been 2-3 pieces.

Used this tape to pack things for long-term storage in February 2022 and when I received the boxes in November 2023, the tape was intact the same as the day I sent them to storage. Mind you these boxes under went a move to the warehouse, short term warehouse to long term warehouse, then a move several states away. Makes other tapes look like plastic wrap.

I could sing the praises of this tape for days on end. Its easy to use, its nice and wide so the tape covers a larger area in one go and boy, does this stuff stay in place! Once I discovered the Gorilla Parking tape and shipped a few boxes to my family in another state they teased me about how it was nearly impossible to try and open the box because of the tape I used. So now I've told my family my tape secret and urged them to buy this tape, too!

Works as intended

Use clear tape primarily for covering labels. Got tired of losing the end of the roll of tape, purchased this inexpensive dispenser tape combo. The tape is clear, thick, easy to use. Quite satisfied.

The saying that you get what you pay for- this tape may cost slightly more than others brands but it is absolutely worth every penny. This is the best tape I have ever used...in fact I will not purchase any of brand going forward. It is super strong and very durable

Great packing tape for taping up boxes when moving. The dispenser was easy to use and better that others I have used. The extra width gives it another layer of strength and safe moving.
