Love everything about this lighter!
I bought this lighter for an emergency bag. I wanted to have multiple redundancies for emergency situations, and next to a magnesium rod, and Zippo, I figured I'd try out a Tesla lighter as well. The ability to recharge it was the biggest appeal to me. So first line: Tesla, because generally have access to electricity, no need to buy fuel. Second line: Zippo, for ease of use, and access to fuel. Third line: Hopefully I'll never be in this situation to have to use a magnesium rod, but I've got em just in case. For use if I have no access to electricity or fuel, and first 2 redundancies have failed. I love that this lighter is weather proof, and has the arcs on top. I was able to light paper on fire quickly and effortlessly when I tested it. I love the color and feel of the lighter, and the fact that it has a flashlight on it without adding any real bulk, is just so cool! It's a nice little light too! The little whistle and tinder lanyard is just another cool little feature. Product seems really well made. Only part I wish was different was the button that says "Push" to pop the lid up on the lighter. It's cheap plastic, coated to look like chrome. I imagine that could eventually fail or chip. The fact that there's a latch on it to keep it closed securely is good, in case the "push" button does fail. You'll be able to be able to keep it closed manually. I am very, very pleased with my purchase. Just hope it lasts a good long while! Stuff that starts to get too complicated, tends to fail faster than a tried and true Zippo.

So far, so good!
Charges fast, seems to work well. Hopefully it continues to. Nice to have while hunting or camping.

Excellent arc lighter
I've had this for 3 years now. The battery lasts a long time. I keep this as a backup lighter in my pocket at all times. I'll actually go at least a month or two without recharging it and it always works. But i obviously don't use it often as it's just a backup. But very impressed with how long the charge lasts. I also like how it's Waterproof if I get caught in the rain. I also like the flashlight which comes in handy when i unlock the gate to take the garbage out. I don't have the lanyard on it

Works in wet weather and is durable
This lighter is perfect for the wet environment. It ignites everything you would use for camping or a survival type fire. The unit is a bit pricy. Other unit with less features are considerably less money. Will wait for a price drop to buy as stocking stuffers come Christmas time. All in all a good to very good product. Friends liked it also and asked where I got it. They too thought it a bit pricy, but a couple were interested. So yep, it’s a keeper. 3-21 Ok got through Covid and the lighter sat quietly for almost a year. Mind you it sat and was not charged during that time. Thought I should get it out and test it. Yep!! Still lit fine, did 10 fire starts and used the flashlight for 5 continuous minutes. So the battery holds its charge. Nice, really nice! So yep it’s even more of a lighter than expected. And no, I didn’t get them last year for stocking stuffers, but I will for 2021!! Still would like to see a better price though -lol. Thanks and good luck.

Four way comparison; feature consideration discussion
Summary: Decided to order a plasma/tesla style lighter for my wife's candles, and while I was at it, I decided on a few more. I'll discuss what factors I considered when ordering these four, as well as some features that I considered deal breakers. Observations: 1) For all styles, here are some considerations: a) single or multiple (double or triple) plasma arcs, b) battery size. 2) For long neck style: Two variations to choose from: a) flexible neck, and b) solid. I went with solid because it has the added feature of retracting the tip into the neck for added protection (did not see one that was both flex and retractable). The flexible neck would be better for odd lighting angles like a gas grill or stove top. 3) For pocket carry: Lots of features: a) protruding or recessed plasma tips, b) extra features like a flashlight. All the ones I bought feature both a dual plasma arc, and protruding tip. The dual arc I felt would have better lighting capability. The LCFUN is the most basic, without a light; the added benefit is that there is no external button which could get bumped in a bag and drain the battery; this is the LCFUN is the one that's going into my EDC pack. The absense of a button is also more waterproof. The Survival Frog and GESPERT both have a simple LED light with three modes (low, high, strobe). 4) Other features: I looked for some other features: a) removable battery, b) large battery; but didn't choose any of those offerings. Some other features I found that were deal breakers are: extra safety features, such as having to press the button three times, and then another to finally ignite (that's too much, and cumbersome). Recommendations: There are some tasks which a plasma (vs. gas/butane/flame) lighter will not work for: a) heat shrink tubing. I'm sure there are others, but that was the only one I could think of for now. For all four: Pros: 7-second cut-off (industry typical value); all included a USB cord; all pocket variants included a lanyard. Cons: Not appropriate for all tasks, especially requiring an open flame. USB Lighter Arc Candle Lighter Rechargeable, SUPRUS ~ $18 / 5-stars Pros: long reach, safety retraction Cons: size (not pocket carry friendly); single arc https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071ZZ7TWJ/ Lighter,USB Rechargeable Lighter,Windproof Arc Lighter Waterproof, LCFUN ~ $17 / 5-stars Pros: most waterproof (of three). Neutral: lacks a light (but also more waterproof) Cons: none https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0865L7WB8 Tough Tesla Lighter 2.0 - Outdoor Waterproof Windproof Top-Facing, SURVIVAL FROG ~ $25 / 5-stars Pros: includes special paracord which has a tider cord inside Cons: cost (most expensive of four) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KFQVPTW/ Waterproof Lighter, USB Plasma Lighter Rechargeable Electric Lighter, GESPERT ~ $14 / 5-stars Pros: lowest cost; Cons: none. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08SBX9DDX

A Must Have Survival Item, But At A Premium Price.
I bought this lighter after purchasing a similar, but cheaper product for comparison purposes. I am pleased with the overall quality of the Tesla lighter. The built in flashlight is a plus and surprisingly bright. I missed it in the description, but the lanyard can also be used as tinder for starting a fire. Only negative, if I'd even really call it that, is the whistle. I don't think it is loud enough to be of any help at any distance. A regular police or lifeguard whistle would serve one better. Bottomline, it's a very good lighter, but the cheaper lighter I purchased for about half the price functions just as well. We'll see over time.

Works awesome, just bought two when they were on sale for $15 now they’re $110?? I’d never pay that much; however I accidently ran one through the washing machine, and after putting it some rice overnight and then recharging it, it works like new. Citing the 20 min washing machine cycle, I know that dropping it in some water momentarily or using it in the rain will not affect it. Awesome little lighters but not worth the $110 they are asking now… the ones labeled as “ EXPLORE “ brand are functionally identical and only cost $25.

Seems like a great product. Works well, doesn't seem flimsy/poorly built. The exterior orange is rugged. The light is quite bright and can be very useful. The latch seems like it may not stand the test of time but that's ok because it's a safety, the lid still clicks into place. At ~$35 CDN it's a good deal. Usually when you forget a lighter on a trip you end up at a gas station getting a lighter and they charge a lot. You're likely to take care of this lighter and nowadays a lot of folks going off the grid will have some form of a charger for their phone so this being a USB charged lighter makes sense. I'll be keeping it in my emergency kit in the car along with the basic candle and a can of bush beans in case i need to survive.
