OGIODome Duffel Bag (Carry-On, Gym Bag, Large Compartment)

I have a bunch of duffel bags (sometimes I think I collect them); my favorite is a standard Nike bag, but this one is better if you are looking for really high quality stuff; the main black fabric or material is very thick and heavy duty, I think it will last a very long time. In addition the main zipper is the heaviest zipper I have seen in several years on ANYTHING. It seems to hold a decent amount of stuff; one thing that lessens the ability to hold stuff is the design (that's probably why it is called half dome, duh); it's kind of rounded on the top (not the usual squarish or rectangular design of most duffel bags I have owned), so you lose a little room on the top side. It also has a nice little pocket on the side for an ipod or iphone or whatever small electronic device you want to carry on the outside of your bag. The main shoulder strap is adjustable and fairly comfortable--but it isn't padded and if you are carrying any fairly heavy things, it isn't comfortable to carry about using the shoulder strap. It also has a nice fairly solid rectangular bottom piece that fits in the bottom of the bag that provides support for the bag. One thing I thought almost all duffel bags had was more than one decent sized compartment, usually two zippers with their own sections. This unit only has the one main compartment (and the other really small one for electronic stuff which does have a small zipper (again, really heavy duty). It's like a heavy duty jacket zipper. In sum it is a well made piece of merchandise; it will last years even with some abuse. One final thing, the main reason I bought this is for airplane trips where you take carry on; this will fit in any airline compartment, and it still holds a reasonable amount of stuff (well, for us men)(I know, chauvinist pig), so it works for me for this purpose.

Having owned a couple mediocre gym bags from Adidas and Nike in the past, I really wasn't expecting this bag to be as well-built as it is. The bottom is pretty firm and the fabric is on the stiffer side, so it can hold its shape really well whether it's empty or full. The fabric feels like it will tolerate minor water resistance (such as a wet towel or a water bottle spill); this along with the firm base means you're not concerned about where you set it down with all your belongings, including a gym floor.The bag is also perfectly sized for someone who goes to the gym. Since it's smaller than a lot of other athletic duffels, it fits perfectly in a locker at an office or a Lifetime Fitness - note that if you have a high schooler who needs an athletic bag for soccer or football, this will be too small and I'd recommend getting a bag designed for the kid's respective sport.Because of its size and durability, this bag has a surprising bonus use case outside the gym. The bag's dimensions are barely bigger in height than the personal item size on Frontier, Spirit, or basic economy on United (18x14x8"), but if you leave a little room it will compress to fit in the sizing unit at the airport. Plus, because it's a duffel with one big opening vs. a backpack with many different small pockets taking up room, you get more space to dedicate to clothes and shoes. This is important for a personal item size bag, where space is at a premium.In short, I highly recommend this bag for its high quality build and smart design, and I don't think you'll be disappointed for the reasonable purchase price.

I needed a gym bag that would be in easy to carry, cheap, and hold a lot. This fits the bill. It arrived quickly in the mail and I was pretty impressed with how much it holds, yet doesn't take up a lot of space. I'm able to hold my papers, planner, water bottle, lunch, little medical kit, running pants, shirt, shoes/socks, and other essentials that I might need for the day. When it's time to go to the gym I can easily fit my uniform in there and am able to zip it easily. I don't shower at the gym so I don't need to pack that stuff, but I'm sure I'll be able to fit it in there.

This bag is great to take to the gym. I holds a change of clothes and tennis shoes without a problem. There is nothing frilly about this bag; it is very simple and sporty looking. I love that it is so lightweight and it folds up very compact. It's easy to stuff in a locker. The fabric has held up great after more than a year of use despite being thrown around and left on wet/dirty floors. I would recommend to anyone for use as a gym bag or to carry sporting equipment.

Great bag, does what I need it to do. I only carry a few things back and forth to the gym, so don't need a large bag. This easily carries my lacrosse ball massager, stretching straps, shoes, hand towel, water bottle, Wodie straps, cell and keys with more room to spare. It is durable, too, holds up to my 10 pounds of plates in there I have to use for knee PT. Gave it 4 stars; wouldn't mind it either having a compartment inside the bag or maybe another outer pocket or two just to keep a little more organized. But it is a nice compact bag; looks great and works great!

I can only recommend OGIO products. I have several bags including golf bags, and they are all of a great quality.

Its small enough to fit in a small locker and use for gym cloths, but big enough to pack a weekends worth of clothes.

Just the right size for the gym fits into the lockers no problem two sets of handles plus a small pocket at the front
