Fantastic scale for low price
This is an absolutely fantastic scale for its price. I was initially skeptical that such a cheap scale would really have 0.01 gram precision, since equivalent laboratory-grade scales are over $100. I bought a set of calibration weights to test this scale. When I first opened it, it was already nearly perfectly calibrated, only off by 0.01-0.02 g. The scale is really easy to recalibrate, and after recalibration it only varied by 0.00-0.01 g (I am suspicious that my calibration weights are less accurately massed than this scale, which seems perfect).I am also impressed by the balance of the weighing platform. Putting a sample anywhere on the platform, even just on one corner, yields the exact same reading. The scale is sleek and small, and comes in a nice little pouch in a nice little box. The lid of the scale is easily removable, and you can tare the scale to zero using the lid as a weighing tray for larger objects. Again, repeated measurements of the same sample give the exact same readings. The inside of the lid contains clear, detailed instructions for taring and recalibration. The previous reviews of this product are correct - the touchscreen looks a little cheaply made, but it works exceptionally well. The battery spaces do seem to be a little large, so the batteries may wiggle, but it hasn't created any problems for me, so I haven't had to fix anything. Batteries are included.I bought this product for scientific research (I'm a student, the $100+ laboratory-grade scales are out of my price range), and I use it to weigh very small fossils and rocks. I am absolutely thrilled with the accuracy, precision, small size, and ease of use of this very cheap but quality scale.

Accuracy for tea and foods, with a new, much more easily read screen
I drink tea, lots and lots of tea, and I drink it high test, in cha day, gong fu strength. For that, I need to weigh my leaf in order to get the right proportion of tea to water. I don't know what happened to the other AWS pocket scale I had for tea on the go, but when I was trying to replace it, I found that scale unavailable, and got a "similar" scale in the other top brand. I had to return that because it was nowhere near as accurate as claimed, and when I'm preparing something as valuable as true ceremonial grade matcha, I really don't want to make an error, and spoil what should be a wonderful tea experience. When I looked again, I saw that this had become available, and understood that the company must have been just about to introduce this new model when I purchased before. I was happy to order it because it appeared to me that it has easier controls, and a much easier to read screen – and those have been borne out. Accuracy seems to be extremely good, even at very low weights. It's definitely an improved model, which I'm glad to have!Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Outstanding value!
An excellent, reasonably priced scale, with great accuracy, functionality, and a sensitive touch screen too! Directly out of the box, I first weighed several rings that I knew the weights of from when I purchased them from my jeweler, they weighed perfectly. Then I used a 100 gram calibration weight to calibrate the scale, and reweighed the rings, and the rings weighed exactly the same. I think I was one of the few who got lucky, and had received a scale that was perfectly calibrated from the get go, hence why I definitely recommend buying a 100 or 200 gram calibration weight for this scale, so you can calibrate it after receiving it. The scale instructions are easily followed, and are clearly printed on the inside of the case that closes the scale. Also, I was really surprised to see that they included a handsomely crafted soft leather storage pouch for the scale, instead of the usual chintzy vinyl pouch one would expect, so that was a treat. The scale has 6 different weight settings to choose from, plus a tare weight function - I will usually have it set at grams, and the tare function will come in quite handy. The construction of the scale is seemingly quite durable, yet it should still be handled with care. For me, what I find impressive is it weighs out to the hundredth of a gram, and is extremely accurate in doing so. The AWS certainly deserves 5 stars, and is most worthy of my highest recommendation; It comes with a lifetime, no-fault warranty as well. That speaks volumes about the confidence the manufacturer has in the engineering of their product, not-to-mention, the manufacturer's integrity. I am sure that I will enjoy this scale for many years to come!

Just what I needed!
This is an excellent little scale - I was really surprised how compact it is. I bought it for reloading and for weighing my kids' AWANA Grand Prix/BSA Pinewood Derby cars. After zeroing the scale, the 100g calibration weight weighed in at 100.05 grams. Calibration was very simple and intuitive, and resulted in a perfect, repeatable 100.00 reading. I weighed a piece of deprimed 308 Winchester brass on my sensitive RCBS 505 balance scale (157.2+ grains), then weighed it on the digital scale - they were within .2 grains (0.013 grams) of each other, and the digital scale alternatively measured 157.2 and 157.4. Seeing as the actual weight was really on the strong side of 157.2, I can understand the alternating readings. The scale will weigh up to 200 grams (7.05 ounces, .44 pounds), which is perfect for a 5 ounce max Pinewood Derby car. It was one of the few reasonably priced scales that would measure to the 1/100th of a gram, and use has shown it to be very accurate. For my highly precise rifle reloading it's not *quite* accurate enough (+/- 0.15 grains) to measure powder (that's what the 0.1 grain RCBS scale is for), but for practice rounds it is plenty accurate. I'll be using it for sorting brass and bullets and checking for double loads.Overall, this is an excellent little scale for a great price.
