I am short, especially in the torso, and I also have a round occipital bone that makes my skull extend further backwards into space than my upper back. Well, the protruding headrests on airplanes hit me right in the back of my skull, pushing my head forward at a crazy angle, and it hurts my neck to the point of having to get PT after every flight.I was going to buy myself a child's booster seat to alleviate this issue, but did not like the idea of having it take up so much space in my carry-on, or paying $30 for the privilege. This cushion seemed perfect, and although it did raise me up a good 3 inches, being fairly firm once inflated, I actually ended up just putting it in the small of my back instead. This enabled me to lean back in the seat, while still giving my big ol' skull enough room for me to sit straight and not have my head be pushed forward painfully by the headrest. Great!It should be noted though, that the air pump is useless. I could not get it to work; it seems like the pump part does not seal sufficiently with the enclosing tube, to prevent air from escaping everywhere except out of the nozzle. But it's fine; don't use the air pump at all. Just open the inflation tab on the cushion, pinch the opening with your fingers to open it to air flow, and blow into it yourself. It's a bit difficult, but it works and the nice thing is, once the air is in there, it is somewhat self-sealing, so air doesn't rapidly escape before you physically close the tab again like some others do.But yeah, pump is useless. However at this price, it is still a good deal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for sitting all day *by S***M on December 26, 2019* I am a computer programmer, and I sit all day, also I needed a cushion to elevate myself to the height of my desk (I'm short ya'll). This is super comfortable to sit on, doesn't deflate, and it helps with my hips, and gives just the right amount of height I need to sit comfortably at my desk all day.I will say it is SUPER hard to inflate. I tried using the pump and struggled hard core with it, and finally just gave up and used my mouth to blow it up the old fashioned way. Luckily it only takes a few breaths to blow it up.Besides that, that is the only downside of this super cushy cushion. ### ⭐ Does Not Inflate *by M***U on October 21, 2023* A waste of $12!!!!! It comes with a tiny pump and the tip keeps falling off the pump. Fine, I have a battery operated air pump - nope it just will not inflate with battery pump. I guess my next step is to push in the clear piece of plastic in of the inflating nozzle on the donut cushion. I'm so disappointed and I really needed this donut cushion. Piece of garbage.
