Great Quality Value Power Love it!
The vacuum is just like the other Sharks I have had. Great suction, filtration and ease of use. I love the hand roller tool, it works great on my cat trees! Also the other tools work well. The only downfall is the cord is much shorter than my last Shark. My last Shark is still working, but it has been used a lot. Excellent quality, I have no doubt it will last for years. I would buy this again. Only my 3rd Shark because they last while getting put through the test at our house. Its been 30 years of using them. This one is powerful and picks up all the dirt and pet hair. Nice size dirt bin too.

The BEST for pet hair, suction and efficiency for your $$
I've owned Bissell for all my life, I had no idea how much i was missing, figuratively and literally. This Shark Navigator is hands down the BEST vacuum I've ever owned. I couldn't believe the difference. We have a dog and anyone with pets knows the struggle of pretty hair! She's a Chiweenie with long hair on top and short annoying sticks to everything under coat and with ONE swipe, you'd never know she was here. I have rugs and hardwood and it picked up everything on both worth a single swipe. Never buy anything else!!

Beat Vacuum by far and it didn’t cost what a Dyson does.
Very awesome vacuum picks up kitty litter which was my number one concern. The head is smaller than most but it definitely does the job well. Didn’t spray kitty litter either and I even tried line of it like on review videos and worked perfect. Downside no light on it and not a fan of how you have to unclamp both sides to remove the container wish it was only a single button. Light weight as well which helps being handicapped. No real complaints besides quality of life issues on it and there is only two spots for accessories but oh well. Plus it was on sale. Highly recommended if you got cats and hair.

Bought a spare after 9 years
tl;dr Best vacuum ever. Buy one! After 9 years (next month) of daily use (and I'm sorry to report I am not gentle at all), I've started to notice a few concerns with my Shark NV356E Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright Vacuum. About a year after purchase, I broke one of the clips that holds the dust bin onto the base. But you know what? Didn't matter. The dust bin sits on the base with a tight seal, so the loss of one of the clips has made no difference for the 8 years since it broke. The real concern began when the roller brushes occasionally weren't spinning... I'd take apart the vacuum to be sure it was clean and unobstructed, wouldn't find any problem, but then the brushes would work again. Weird. Then one day a couple weeks ago, it just stopped in the middle of vacuuming. I'm telling you, I almost cried right then and there, but I walked away to calm down. When I came back, it turned on and worked fine. Weird again. I thought I'd better order a replacement. I love this vacuum so much, and it has been such an excellent workhorse, and one never knows when a company will stop manufacturing a certain model, so I ordered a second one to have as a replacement for when the sad time of the death of my first one comes (but you'd better believe I'll consult a repairman before fully giving up—that's how much I love this vacuum). (Also, just yesterday, I believe I've identified the problem: I think the switch has somehow gone bad. I'll be looking into how to replace it.) Other "problems" I've had include the splitting of the hard part of the little hose at the bottom of the unit 2 years ago next month (7 years after purchase). Black electrical tape held it together until the replacement hose came. I have no idea why it broke, but there's about a 75% chance it was a user-generated problem. And the boy somehow vacuumed up the cord with such force that it damaged the protective outer coating. Again, black electrical tape "fixed" it. Speaking of the boy, he has at various times vacuumed up Legos, paper, dog food, rubber bands, spiders, gravel in the driveway (just to see if it worked), the occasional sock, powdered sidewalk chalk (I thought that one might have killed the vacuum, but no, he miraculously survived), soggy cereal directly from the bowl, and I can't tell you how many times he disassembled the vacuum during his "Deconstructed" phase (remember that TV show? ugh, our aspie boy failed to heed the subtitle: "we take it apart so you don't have to")... my Shark has valiantly kept on working. Some people think the vacuum tips over too easily. True. The hose is stiff and doesn't stretch much. When using the wand, the vacuum will tip over as you pull on the hose, because it's quite top heavy and the hose is attached toward the top. The fix is to "lift away"—detach it from the floor base. Just takes depressing a release latch. Simple. Emptying the dust bin seems to throw off some users who experience the dirt billowing out as they empty it. Again, an easy fix: lower the dust bin down into the waste basket (don't want to empty it into a full waste basket, you guys), and then depress the release button. The bottom swings open and the dirt and debris fall out into the waste basket. Then, turn the dust bin upside down, lower it into the waste basket again, and depress the release button for the lid to dump out any debris that has gathered in the upper chamber (Labrador undercoat hair seems to get stuck in there, so I do have to tap it so the hair falls out). Maybe you live in a new house, but I don't. My house is very old, and we have the windows open as much as possible, so between the Kansas wind and the old house, we have dust like you wouldn't believe. I dust using the vacuumm and the dusting brush. We also have two dogs, one of which (a Labrador Retriever) sheds enough that I could probably knit a whole new dog each week with his sheddings. Therefore, we vacuum every day. The bedroom where the kennel sits fills the dust bin with hair at least once and sometimes twice per vacuuming. Speaking of the dust bin, here's one thing I consider a design flaw: the fine mesh filter up inside the upper chamber of the dust bin is not removeable. It can get clogged with super-fine dust (especially if your child has vacuumed up something slightly wet, but also just with regular use), which lessens the suction power. It would be so nice and much easier to be able to remove that mesh cup to wash it. Since you can't, the way to keep it unobstructed or to clean it once it is clogged is to use a long-handled nylon bristle scrub brush—with the bristles dry, of course—to brush/scrape the mesh, then lower the dust bin into the waste basket and tap it to remove the fine dust. Fine dust is also, guaranteed, going to fill up your filters, so my suggestion is to buy one or a few spare filter sets. Don't throw them away. We blow them out with our air compressor (although you could probably just beat the dust out of the two triangular filters like an old-fashioned housewife beats a rug), tie them—the two triangular filters, not the hepa filter—into a pillowcase, wash them in the washing machine, and dry them in the dryer with no fabric softener. (Update: I no longer wash my two triangular filters in a tied-closed pillowcase like a caveman. Now I use a mesh lingerie bag.) Another tip: If your vacuum begins to smell not so fresh (say, like a giant dog butt), put a few of those fabric softener pellets/beads (like Downey Unstoppables) between the two triangular filters. They are dry, so they won't harm anything, but they will cause the vacuum to put out their scent each time you use it, which is much, much more pleasant than giant-dog-butt scent. When their scent wears out (or when you replace the filters with clean ones), just replace the beads with new. Aaaaanyway, I did finally order a spare vacuum, just in case. When it arrived, I opened the box to find I had been sent a used vacuum. Gross! Hair in the brushes, hair and dirt in the dust bin. Oh my gosh, so disgusting. Hubs made it worse by pointing out I could have been sent a vacuum someone WITH BEDBUGS had used and returned. (The strangest part is that the box had a label from another department store.) The Amazon customer service representative facilitated a return and replacement, which I received yesterday. You'll be relieved to note it was brand new, never used. I assembled it (took approximately 1.35 minutes), and I plan to keep it upstairs, mostly unused until my original one finally gives up the ghost.

Very satisfied with this purchase.
This Shark upright vacuum has been a great addition to my cleaning routine. It performs especially well on tile floors, picking up dust, dirt, sand, and other debris with ease. The suction power is strong, and it leaves floors looking noticeably cleaner after just one pass. It’s also easy to maneuver and doesn’t feel overly heavy, which makes cleaning less of a chore. Overall, it’s a reliable vacuum that does exactly what I need it to do, especially on hard surfaces like tile.

Talk About Suction!!! Wow!
Before buying this Shark NV356E V5 Professional I read the reviews on it. I was pretty much convinced after one reviewer said that she had vacuumed her carpet with the other unit (some other brand I think ) she had and after going over it again with her new Shark, she was amazed at how much MORE the Shark picked up. So, I wanted to do the same experiment. I vacuumed our small bedroom, the hallway runner carpets, two thick “Muddy Mat” (for dog paws) area rugs by the slider, runner near front door, living room rug and our large den carpet with my Kenmore Pop-up canister vacuum very slowly and thoroughly with a new dust bag in it. When done, the bag was full. Then I vacuumed the bedroom, hallway, runner near front door and living room rug. However, even with the suction collar completely open, the Shark wouldn’t even move across the “Muddy Mats” as they are very thick. (more about this later.) The dust cup on the Shark was already about 1/3 full (!) with even MORE dog hair, dirt and dust before I even got to the den! So I moved on to the den-one carpeted step down into the den. The Shark was easy to lift up down to the den and to lift up onto that step. I only did half of the den carpet and the dust cup was full - more hair and dirt and dust! I had to empty it to finish the rest of the den. It was almost half full again! To re-vacuum those two Muddy Mats, my husband suggested using the pet hair attachment and it worked! Brought up a good amount of hair, etc. Problem solved! I like the way I can switch to bare floor setting without having to turn it off, find the floor attachment and then put it on a wand. I really thought the Kenmore had great suction but this Shark puts that thing to shame! I just never liked how cumbersome the Kenmore is to pull the canister around; really hate how the wand with the motorized swivel head always falls over when I try to stand it up by itself, for example , when finding the floor attachment. Then I had to remove the motorized swivel head to put any attachments onto the wand. My carpets are 9 years old and now after using the Shark on them, they not only look like they’re been shampooed, they look new! The air coming out of the Hepa filter actually smells sweet! Also, I am 80 years old (and not decrepit nor feeble—still kind of youthful, people tell me) and this Shark is not too heavy nor awkward to use for me. I am so stinkin’ glad I decided to order this GREAT and so affordable Shark. (I got the Black Friday price 😄.) Photo is of the living room rug after using the Shark. So, yes, obviously I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner.

Nothing like a Shark!
This vacuum is my second one in 10+ years. The original ended up with a short and caused a little jolt when in use. Keep in mind the original traveled from PA, to Germany to Brussels, North Carolina and back to PA so it was used A LOT! Thru it all, it maintained great suction on carpets and hardwoods until its shocking end. I knew its replacement would be another Shark. My new vacuum was packaged well, came on time. Easy instructions to snap together, plugged in and picked up so much dirt and pet hair that I was shocked (figuratively this time). I've used other mid line vacuums before like Bissell and Hoover and a few off brands before but Shark products have such a good reputation and stand by their products so its really a no brainer. They are easy to maneuver around corners and under furniture and easy to empty. The attachments make baseboard and corners easy to clean and the pet hair attachment works better than a lint brush on furniture. This vacuum handles all the dirt that life can throw at you.

Excellent debri collection but overall not very ergonomical to use in tight spaces.
Finally recieved my vacuum. I think this is a very good vacuum but it does need some improvements. I'm a car detailer so I use this vacuum with dual use. When using the removeable handle, the giant handle is hard to handle. The long stick can also tire your arms when you have to reach up into higher spaces, like a return air vent. The hose is also very short so it feels like you're always fighting it. Lifting the tank off the floor vaccuum can also be cumbersome. Its not as easy to use because again the short vacuum hose. Everything feels too clunky. However, the cleaning ability of this vacuum feels very good. The motor sounds quality and its ability to filter fine particles is very good. Overall, I would get this model if I don't want to spend too much on a vacuum but still get excellent performance. I would however spend a bit on different model that has better ergonomics, where its easier to move around tight spaces.

Me impresionó

OMG where has this R2D2 vacuum been all my life?
My wife calls this R2D2, lol. I looks a bit like a scifi robot. We've only ever bought cheap vacuums, and never thought to ever try something at least a bit more expensive than the rock bottom priced vacuums. Our cheap vacuum's belt broke and found it was doing such a poor just and it got so disgusting after all this time, that I'd figure, ok, let's try to see if life can be better. I used Consumer Reports to let me home in something that doesn't suck from above but sucks good from below :-) It was between a few choices. This particular vacuum has some good reviews, so I decided to choose this one. Apparently there are other models of this brand that look similar but that don't have as much suction power. Consumer Reports reports some as having mediocre suction power. But this particular one, is sucking on steroids! On thick carpet you basically get a workout moving this thing about. This *could* be a problem for some. Apparently there is a way to let it purposely leak air in, and that might be a great workaround, but in our case, we like the power that comes with it. Our upstairs carpet is a bit thinner, and with that it is much easier to use. No problem in fact. Where it becomes hard to move is on our living plushy carpet. But then something unexpected happened. The canister filled up entirely with tiny dust particles. It became solid gray. It detected that it could no longer suck, and a safety valve kicked in. It's really fool proof. So it *actually* sucked all that from inside and under the carpet. The previous vacuum wasn't grabbing this at all! I had to empty the canister many times by the time I vacuumed the whole house! The house was never clean before, I guess. One of the reasons it works so well, aside from its awesome power, is because the bristles are motorized! There is an electric motor in that bottom part! Instead of using slippy belts that draw from the main motor, it uses a geared belt that connects to a separate motor. It detects if it gets stuck and turns off that motor. Brilliant, again, fool proof! That belt will probably not break. But I went on youtube to see if it is possible to fix *IF* it'd ever breaks. No problem! You can find replacement belt / bristle kits and it's no problem at all! So because the bristles are motorized, you get to choose if you want the bristles to run or not. So on a wooden floor you can roll this thing around super easy. It's nice and gentle on the floor, with proper wheels. And so many features! You can detach the bottom part with ease. Great for the stairs! You can detach the hose and is comes with this bristle attachment that *actually* works! It gets its spin from the suction power, and you'd think it'd never work well, but it really actually does! This is really very well designed, intelligent product! The designers really did a very good job on this. All the plastic is all made from good solid materials. There is absolutely nothing flimsy about it. My wife calls it R2D2 but to me it's more like a Tesla vacuum :-)

not suitable for KSA
should be removed from Saudi Website as the Voltage is not compatible. I will have to purchase a step down transformer now, which will almost double the cost for me. there was no such information in listing.

Amazing
One review said that the shark picked up a ton of dirt and debris on an area of their carpet that had been recently cleaned, and they were blown away at the power of the unit. I cleaned my whole house before using the shark and then was AMAZED and how much dust, dirt, and debris it still picked up out of my carpets. My floors feel so good on my bare feet. I work from home as a massage therapist so clean is very important to me and due to the amount of traffic in my place I vacuum daily. I still can't belive how much junk the shark got out of my carpet! The unit works better than some brands that sell for thousands of $$, to find this at the price point it's at was a dream! I blabbed about it on all my socials because I am so impressed with the quality of the shark and the results it gave me. I will never use another brand as long as shark maintains their quality. I'm still shocked I found this unit at this price point and on Amazon. This has made my tidy home actually clean. It's a tad heavy compared to my previous vacuum but worth it, despite the slight weight increase it moves easily, love the longer cord, and love love love knowing all that dust and dirt isn't sitting in my floors anymore I hate carpet so much because they're so gross, big dirt magnets but the shark makes that so much nicer because it actually gets all the dust and dirt up. My kids room! Omgoodness!! Again, I thought it was clean, I take his wellbeing very seriously, and with his asthma I vacuume in there often to reduce dust and debris. The AMOUNT of junk the shark got out of the carpet ... ugh.. so glad I got this. I can't recommend the shark more. It honestly works so well I might be able to vacuum less each week because now when I do spend the time to vacuum the floors are actually getting clean

Good but not for pet owners
Great vacuum but terrible if you or your pets have long hair. The roller brush is a pain to clean and remove hair that gets wrapped around it. I have irish setters and they have longer fur and fighting to clean the brush after every use is obnoxious. It would be great if a company designed a vacuum that worked well for pets other than short haired ones. Works well on carpet, not as well on bare floors/hardwood which is also disappointing. It’s also a bit heavy so doing stairs isn’t the easiest. To disconnect the hose to use separately from the foot it’s a poor design and the hose is too short so the rest of the vacuum tends to just tip over/crash to the ground if you do this without hanging onto the rest of the vacuum. Overall decent suction but a fair amount of design issues that would make me try a different product in future. Easy to empty though which is nice and the cord is quite long which is also nice.
