Great Filter
This genuine GermGuardian filter fits perfectly in my AC5000 series purifier. It was super easy to install, and I noticed cleaner air within a day—less dust and fewer allergy symptoms. It works-I think.
Pricey but good, I think. This is the recommended filter by the company. I've had the air filter and still use it for probably longer than I should. Can I contribute its longevity to the use of the recommended filter? Who knows. Having nothing to compare it to, all I can report is that none of them have ever fallen apart, caught on fire, talked back to me or been disrespectful. I can't ask for much more than that in today's cruel world.

Best get the real ones!
Even though generic filters say they fit this air filter save your money they don't work. They may fit the machine but I found the air cleaner will not turn on! I have filter generic tried everything under the sun to get it to work even unplugging the air cleaner nothing. I guess they want their filters only which work great. There really isn't much difference in the price either. If you get them on the subscription which I do it's about the same. I like these filters better anyway looks like the quality is a lot higher than the other ones. I guess it goes to show you that yuou get what you pay for.

HEPA filter and ease of use
Bought my first replacement filter 6 months ago. Easy to replace, HEPA rating good. Am reordering again. Recommends '6 month' change out. My fan just gave me a 'replace' light. Checked filter - and, yes, clear to me it does need replacement. White when installed, now filter is 'grey' in color and clearly needs replacement.IMHO - Wish the filter was not so expensive (4-Star). Has worked well for me and does keep down dust. I always run the 'UV-C' with the filter. Reordering - Price now is $1.00 more than when I bought in Oct 2022. Not a bad price increase, but, going to order 2 this time instead of one.
