Great TV. Well worth it, would definitely recommend to a friend for a TV with many functions!
Basic review first then i'll get into some detailsHome setupDenon AVR-X3000HK 16 5.1 Surround systemPros:- Cheap (on sale around $700 worth every penny, i'd say up yo 8-900 its a great deal)- Great quality 1080p display- Plasma- 3D- speakers better than 90% of LED/LCD tv's out there- smart TV functions- Good connectivity- fairly thin TVCons:- picture quality could be better- upscaling 480p to 1080p not the greatest- heavy TV- only 3 HDMI inputs- limited other inputsGreat TV, the network features work very well. Its got built-in wifi but i find ethernet is just faster and more reliable in comparison. The apps for LG smart TV are scarce but many of the apps you would use are present. Youtube, skype, netflix, hulu, are all there and a few more. There are some apps i was hoping for that are missing, but its not that great a deal since i've also got an apple TV. As far as Plasma's go i think only one that would top the LG 60PB6900 is the Samsung 8500 series of plasmas. If you're looking for a great value TV and something that will last a long time, then this is a great TV. I also did purchase the $70 extended warranty from Costco on the TV so should be good for 5yrs.Glare:This is what i was worried about when i bought the TV. I have a few windows that sit beside the TV and there is some glare on the TV if you're viewing it from an angle, definitely more than an LCD/LED but not as bad as my 4yr old plasma this TV replaced so its definitely better but not the best if you're looking to put the TV into a very VERY well lit room. In a normal lit room this TV will be beautifulAesthetic Appeal:The TV stand and bezel itself are very plain and simple. Unlike the newer TV's which make artistic looking stands that do look good, the stand on this TV and bezel are purely functional. The bezel is NOT as thick as older plasma TV's. The bezel is about 1' around the TV and blacks of the plasma make the thing almost invisible.Recommendations:I bought this TV cause i was looking for a good sized (55-60') TV that was well equipped, had good picture quality, reliability and fit into the designated size available for the TV in our home theatre center. This TV also provides a VERY wide array of adjustments based on your level of comfort to adjust everything from picture size, color, white balance, refresh rates and motion blur, connectivity etc. This has more adjustments to sound and picture quality i've seen on any TV in this price range or even up to $1500-2000 range. The Only reason i won't give it 5 stars is because of the glare, hdmi inputs (not a concern for me since i'm using an AV Receiver anyways), and its weight/bezel design. The depth of picture is MUCH better than LCD-LED TVs i've seen and the color reproductions, features are well above average for the price range.

Great TV! Should Last Us For Years To Come!
The TV itself is great. My wife and I love the smart tv functions. The picture quality beats our old LED TV by a long shot. The 3d functions also impressed us given we did not purchase this tv solely for that reason. I don't have much else to say about this TV other than for the sale price ($700) it as well worth the purchase. The TV packaging itself was fine (LG does a great job of boxing their TVs up), but the delivery experience was atrocious. Be sure to double check everything both during and after the delivery. Amazon promised delivery services that were not met, but it had more to do with who they subcontracted through.[Deleted delivery description as it does not add to the review of the actual product, my apologies]Edit (01/07/2015):Thought I would add more about the TV. I have been using the TV for around five months now and still love it. The colors are great out of the box and with a little tweaking are spectacular. I was worried about burn-in but the TV automatically moves the picture around the screen if you sit on a still menu too long in applications. There are a few exceptions.I would NOT use the Pandora app with this TV as the screen stays stagnant for the whole time. I have read of other individuals having issues with burn-in over time. Furthermore, if you pause a show from within Netflix it does not move the screen around so issues may arise over time. We have not had an issue but a way to combat this is to just press the back button so you are on the show's "home screen" instead of within an episode if that makes sense. The sound was less than ideal with higher tones being overbearing and lower tones being all but nonexistent. I am not an audiophile by any means so I apologize for my terminology. The sound just could not hold up in our new house as the living room was much larger so we ended up buying a sound bar to accompany the TV.I really love the smart TV feature as it allows us to load up Netflix at the push of a few buttons. I can't imagine purchasing a TV without it now. As stated in my review before, we did not purchase this TV for the 3D functions. While it is fun to use every now and then, the technology is not at the point where it makes everyday viewing plausible. It is also hard to find compatible formats so the selection is limited. Netflix has some movies/shows but they are mostly crud. Our living room has a window directly across from where our TV is placed so at certain times of day it is slightly annoying. The glare is not as bad as some reviewers make it out to be, but it is very much present. We arranged the room to accommodate the TV by placing the lamp etc. next to the TV instead of across from it where it would glare. However, I just chalk it up to owning a TV of this size as it has a larger area to cause problems.Overall, we are in love with this TV. The price was great (~$650) and it has great features. I would definitely recommend this television to our friends and family.07/29/15:This TV is still going strong with no problems at all. I am very impressed. The glare is still present at certain times of the day but I suppose we have started to get used to it. I would definitely recommend this TV for the price we paid.01/30/16:TV is still doing well, but that's no surprise really. However, there is starting to be a slight burn in from the Netflix pause button. This is our fault for leaving it on for so long, but the trick is to back out of a show if you need to pause it. Otherwise the pause button and red bar stay on the screen for too long. I also have started to really notice how flimsy the base is. It hasn't caused problems yet, but I wish they went with a design where it had the supports on the sides of the bottom instead of just in the middle.

Junk $1500 TV in 29 months!
Piece of junk! TV is 29 months old and turned itself off. The red power indicator light is flashing off and on. I have unplugged the tv with no joy. Called LG and Mel a customer service representative told me it would be a minimum of $245 just to take a look at it. I asked for a different repair place and the genius tried sending me to a repair shop in Melbourne, FL (I live in Oklahoma City)! I asked if there was anything that could be done about the TV and was told that there was not and he has heard of this problem many times before. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere before buying any LG product. LG should stand for Lousy Garbage!

Internet connection is causing trouble
This is based on ~ 1 month's use. The TV itself is fine, although the image is somewhat difficult to optimize. It is advertized as a "Smart TV." We had it professionally installed (it is located on the ceiling!) The problem is using systems such as NetFlix or Amazon video; we actually cannot. When I run the system check for internet connection, all the listed items have a green check mark. But attempting to view an online movie is an exercise in futility. An online "system upgrade" that stated it would take 16 minutes to download, was actually accomplished over a week in MULTIPLE attempts. The most probable cause is the internet connection. But other WiFi devices (such as iPad) work just fine with NetFlix. So I'll just keep trying to get it to work.

Great TV. Internet connection is not a given....
Great image, but was a hassle to set up. We had to watch the youtube video multiple times and we could only hook it up to the internet after the cable guy installed a gadget. Online and phone support from LG were not helpful
