The pen never turned on, never worked a complete waste of money. I guess i have bad luck with these pen cams cause i have bought two and neither have worked.

I bought one of those brand new. I moved to a new place and forgot about activating it until about 1 year later. It charged OK but refused to turn on. I called Tech Support and it said that it could not help me because the item was 2 weeks over the 1-year warranty limit. I was then referred to Customer Service (at another phone number) and was told that I could buy a refurb one for $20 on swannstore.com. Adding tax and $10 for S&H, a "new" refurb would be about $31, more than what I bought the new one for ($28 sale price). I did not want to spend anymore money for a piece of junk that never worked the first time I tried to use it. I am not the only customer who got a non-working sample. Swann has sung its swan song with this item. Don't buy it.

I bought one from costco may 2011 from costco for $40 bucks plus tax. I tested it and it worked ok back then. Then I put it in my drawer and just forgot about it. It's basically never used and in mint condition, yet now it refused to turn on after charging and resetting.But many thanks to costco. Although it's with me for 2.5 years, costco took it back and refunded me. costco won't get any credit from the manufacture but they did it for me anyway. I didn't expect costco would do that for me and just explained the situation to them and they were more eager than me to have it returned. I'll buy from costco whenever i can.

I bought Swann SW234-PC2 from Nebraska Furniture Mart as a part of Black Friday sale, 2013. I have been trying to make it work ever since. It does not seem to charge. I have tried both USB 2 and USB 3 ports on my PC (Windows 7). When connected to the USB port, the orange light lights up steady indicating it is charged fully. Yet, I cannot even turn it on. I have tried both the camera mode and the camcorder mode and the device refuses to turn on.I am planning on returning it to the store for a refund. Don't buy it.
