Clover Amour Crochet Hooks - Set of 5 - for Working with Thick Yarns

I've been using these Clover Amour crochet hooks for about 8 years and I needed to purchase another set for my travel crochet bag. These are an excellent option for if you need crochet hooks in the larger sizes. I do prefer to use metal however, but the metal ones I use (Tulips and Clovers) don't come larger than 6.5 mm. I use a lot of chunky yarns for sweaters and Afghans, and these are perfect for the thicker yarns. Yarn glides very easily with these hooks, and there are no sharp edges. The only yarn type I've never tried with these are those really scratchy "scrubby" yarns, which I only use with the low end aluminum hooks. I also like the ergonomic handles, and the fact they are lightweight so my wrists don't fatigue as fast, especially when using the thicker heavier yarns. I would recommend to get a set of these, and wait for a sale. In addition to the set of five, they also offer a set of seven where you get the 12 mm and the 15 mm hooks that are not offered in this set.

These are pleasantly lightweight and so comfortable. I use pencil hold so length is fine. I've tried many kinds and ONLY these work for my arthritic hands. You will love them!

This is a great product but these handles are plastic. I am new to crochet and bought the amour ergonomic regular size hooks which had a soft grip. These do not. Which I believe are designed that way for thicker yarns etc. I do wish the colors matched the other set so that the set could be color matching. But the bright handles do make them easy to find. Solid brand.

Wonderful hooks and well worth the investment. I highly recommend this brand if you want a comfort grip and a hook that glides like butter through any yarn. Upon opening the package I put them through the test on Red Heart Super Saver yarn and they passed with flying colors. No dragging, sticking ot squeeking!

I love these crochet hooks. The handle feels great with my arthritic hands and they are very smooth

I don't know how clover does it, but their hooks slide through yarn like nothing else. Even though these larger hooks are made from plastic, they're still not squeaky and have very little resistance. The handles are comfy, but they are very short, much different than other hooks. I adjusted my grip to account for the difference, so I end up crocheting a little differently with clover hooks versus others. I don't mind it at all!

Love these hooks—like a hot knife through butter, they slide through all types of yarn.
