This is my second unit that decided to "freeze". On/off switch won't work. Unplugging from power source does nothing. Anyone else experience this?
This has a CE key to void last entry, why does it not have a C key to clear out all previous work, how is that done?
Does the clock and date remain on or is it auto off. Is there contrast control.
How do you enhance the red/black print? Mine is getting very light. Is there a ribbon? Cartridge?

OMG! I can’t believe I went so long without this. I thought I was my problem with my previous calculator. Nope. It was the Calculator. This one isExcellent for an accounting person who does this by touch. It seems like I couldn’t make an error if I tried.

Full size unit, operates the same as ones I have used for decades. Not as fond of the detachable cord/plug.

I have been using this calculator model for many years. I recently replaced my old one, which I purchased in 2006. The new one is slightly noisier than my old calculator, but it functions the same, and I really love it.

Very good business calculator.
Purchased this calculator to replace my beloved old Texas Instruments business calculator that I used for about 13 years six days a week. Seems as though TI no longer makes desktop calculators. We have one of these in the office that has been used for a couple of years with no complaints. It is quiet and I like the sales tax feature. It can show time and the date with a battery backup in the bottom, but I have yet to use it. The total is on the left instead of the right like the TI's and the Sanyo's that we have used in the offices. I am not the fastest by any means when it comes to 10 keying the numbers, but I have noticed that my accuracy and speed have improved with this unit over my old TI that cost about $140 13 years ago. It is a little smaller than my old big black heavy-duty TI, but I am very comfortable with the size as I can not stand the small calculators with my large hands. It uses the good ol two color ink ribbon spools that I still prefer. Seems to be less calculators that use the old long lasting ribbons. My only complaint is that the view for looking at the last number printed is not easily viewable on the tape as it is too low in the calculator. The number is on the display of course and I have not gotten use to viewing the number there. Old habit I guess. The paper does advance far enough to see the total amount when the total key is hit. Nit picking, but this would be an excellent business calculator and would be perfect IF Sharp did something about this. My old TI had a better design but it was a lot bigger also. Buy this for business. Very reasonable price for a good calculator.

The functions on this calculator include discount rates (up to 4 digits) and gross profit functions with price margins up to 4 digits stored in memory. It features a bright green fluorescent display with 3 digit punctuation. 6-position decimal selector floating/fixed(F-6-3-2-1-0), constant (K) and add (A) operating modes to facilitate entry of dollar-and-cents figures. 1-touch % key and independently accessible 4-key memory, minus sign, error and memory indicators. In addition, it features a power switch with print/item count mode selector; constant/add mode, rounding, and grand total/rate setting selectors. Mechanical printer accepts 57mm (2-1/4\") to 58mm (2-9/32\") wide x 80mm (3-5/32\") diameter paper rolls maximum. The printer has dimensions of 8-31/32\" width x 13-5/32\" depth x 2-25/32\" height.
