Bissell Pet Eraser Corded Hand Vac, Pink Pet Hair Corded (33A1C), Black/Pink

Oh Bissell Pet Hair Eraser, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways! Seriously, if this vacuum were a man, I would marry him, faults and all, and we would live in a lovely hair-free apartment with my pup eating ice cream all day long. When the package came in the mail, I signed for it, tore it open, and thus began a 2-hour-long cleaning extravaganza that left all my upholstery, my area rug, and my duvet looking brand new. I'm pretty sure this is how the first person in history to use a vacuum must have felt. Where have you been all my life? I have a long-haired black and white Great Dane mix who sheds EVERYWHERE and believes it's his dog-given right to sleep on my furniture when I'm away. My dark furniture appears coated in white, the light furniture looks grey. I've tried everything from packaging tape (you have way too much time on your hands if you're doing this, I'll tell you) to an As-Seen-On-TV gadget that was meant to stop shedding on your pet but instead removed fur from my furniture-- at a rate of 6 square inches every 10 minutes. This Bissell vacuum is my savior and I will never leave it ever. Its suction was incredibly powerful (guessing this is due to it being corded instead of battery-powered like my crappy Dirt Devil). It cleaned off hair I couldn't even detect with the naked eye, and the angled flexible shape of the pink attachment lets you press it into the corners of your furniture to boldly go where no man has gone before. Here are the cons: as other commenters stated, this vacuum is pretty darn heavy and very loud. It is a bit like using a small pink-nosed rocket ship to clean my furniture. But then again, apparently what my furniture needed was a small rocket ship. The handle is awkward (I justify this by saying I get to skip my arm workout for the day). If you are buying this to use as a regular hand-vac, you should look elsewhere-- other commenters are correct in saying that the vents will blow any sort of loose dust on a non-carpet/upholstery surface everywhere, turning cleaning into a crappy little game of hide-and-go-seek with hairballs. I've solved this problem by constructing pieces on either side to divert the air up and away from the cleaning surface. If you don't feel like being ingenious, buy a different hand vac for everyday tasks (or use a broom and dustpan like I usually do) and save the Bissell for the times when you need super awesome magical fur-eradicating powers. Another thing worth mentioning is that, like a small rocket ship, this baby runs HOT. If you're planning on using it during the summer with no air-conditioning like I did, please be prepared to sweat a fair amount. Even despite the cons mentioned, this machine is a miracle-worker and the best $30 I ever spent. My furniture looks brand new. If Bissell ever decides to tweak this model and fix the vent problem/place the handle a little more conveniently, I will be the first in line to buy it...I will camp out all night long for it. In the meantime, enjoy this wonderful vacuum for what it is (a miracle), and folks, when your lover's giving you massive amounts of pleasure, don't choose that moment to point out that he always leaves the toilet seat up. Everyone has their flaws; just bask in the wondrous glory.

This thing is GREAT! While I do have two cats and a bird making a good mess of my apt., I really bought this to manage my own long hair shedding. My upright vacuum has almost caught on fire a few times because my hair gets wrapped around the rotating brushes and jams up the system. This means cutting the hair out of the vacuum after each cleaning, plus doing a preliminary hair gathering by hand to eliminate the build up. Super lame, super gross. The Bissel Pet Hair Eraser's rubber nozzel easily rounds up the tumbleweeds of hair while picking up all the other debris as well. No worries about having the hair jam up the vacuum and emptying the chamber is super easy. I did notice that my long hair often wadded up on the rubber nubs, rather than going into the main vacuum chamber. This didn't bother me though. It still got it off my floor and getting rid of it was just like cleaning out your hair brush! The hard nozzel works great on my linoleum floors when i want to clean up bird seed, cat litter, or little scraps from my craft hobbies. The suction power on this little thing is exceptional! It was even picking up larger fabric scraps, so be careful what you put in front of it. Some reviewers said it was noisy, but it's a vacuum. That kind of goes with the territory, doesn't it? I found it to be reasonable, especially considering the good results i've been getting. The comments about the side exhaust blowing debris around are true, however. I didn't find it to be a big deal for the types of messes I dealt with. It blows a fuzzball down the hall a ways, you just turn the vac and suck it back up. No biggie. I can see how it might annoy some people, depending on what you're trying to clean up. The only con to this vacuum is that it's a hand held, not an upright. Since I'm using this for floors as well as furniture, that means I'm squatting or down on my knees getting the job done. Oh well, I guess I knew that going in. If the power of this thing is any indication of the Bissell brand, maybe someday I'll throw down the money to get a nice upright vac from them!

Product exploded in my hand when I first turned it on, then it kept turning on but stopped vacuuming anything. Some tiny aluminum pieces fell off the motor area. Seems there’s no safety at all, not recommended.

Compre este producto porque estaba muy desesperada de probar otros aditamentos para mi aspiradora que prometian remover facilmente el pelo de mascotas, tengo una gatita y siempre hay mucho pelo por los sillones y las sillas de mi casa. Probe apenas la Bisselle 33A1 y no tengo más que decir que es un excelente producto. Es potente y su aditamento de gomita es genial para arrastrar el pelo más fino y poder limpiar desde la primera pasada. No tienes que pasar varias veces la aspiradora, es super rapido y efectivo limpiar con esta herramienta. Totalmente recomendado para limpiar el pelo de nuestras mascotas. Quede completamente satisfecha con la compra!

This little vacuum definitely hold up to its name! Works amazingly on pet hair!

Brand new opened it out of box and tried to use it . It was extremely loud and didn’t suck any of the hair, immediately after it made explosive sounds and I had internal debris of the machine floating around in the catchment.

Es la 2da Aspiradora Bisel que compro, son de las mejores, el simple hecho de tener lomitos hace que dejen hartos recordatorios de amor por todas partes, tenía una black and decker pet y no hace tan buen trabajo como las Bisel, esta funciona con estática en el cabezal de silicon. Excelente compra para todo humano que vive con michis o perrines.
