### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great projector for the price
*by G***E on February 26, 2014*

I've had access to a few projectors over the years, and never really used any of them more than a few times.Sharing presentation equipment is an exercise in frustration. Unless you can design the presentation on the same software/ computer/ projector combination you will be using at the presentation, you just can't be sure it will work the way you want when you present it to its intended audience.I had a VGA projector that was entirely useless because I could never get the amount of text and numbers I needed onto the screen, and it was not bright enough, and it was noisy, and the colors weren't remotely accurate. I bought a pico device, but it could not create a large enough --or bright enough-- image to be useful outside of small groups in darkened rooms. I tried using an a/v cart bought for use by others, but all of the gear was designed to work with specific computers (Windows PCs) and software (MS Office). Any time anyone changed a setting, it meant endless fiddling to get the system back to where I had been designing the presentations to work. And then other users had to do the same thing after I was through. In addition, issues like transitions, animations, colors, effects, aspect ratios, etc. all worked differently from system to system, so designing presentations never worked right for me.Until recently, the only presentation devices that worked satisfactorily were either expensive (fancy projectors) or very cumbersome (flat screen monitors and/or large projection screens).I just bought an EX7220 projector and a tabletop ES1000 screen. They arrived yesterday, so I have not actually used them for presentations yet. But I have set them up and experimented with them, and here are my initial reactions. The screen is easy to set up and use. It's the right size for my purposes (50" diagonal in 4:3); it requires no aggravation to get in place for presentations. It's also cheap, lightweight, and rolls up into its own hard case with carrying handle. If you don't need a large screen, it's terrific; if you do need a large screen, chances are the place you will be presenting will have one available. The projector is small, lightweight, easy to set up physically (adjustable feet, manual focus, manual zoom, manual horizontal keynote, automatic keynote adjustment for vertical projector adjustments). I was pleasantly surprised by the extremely bright image and the very sharp text.I bought this for data and text projection. It is OK for video, but it is not designed to be a home theater projector. I think it can work that way in a pinch. The bulb is supposed to last 5000/6000 hours (ECO setting/normal setting), and the replacement price looks reasonable (around $130). This is an LCD projector, so no worries about the rainbow effect, which I find extremely annoying on DLP projectors. The projector is very quiet in ECO mode, louder in "normal."I agree with the complaints about the Wi-Fi, but they are not important to me. Setup instructions aren't very helpful, but once you get the thing setup, it's very easy to use.HDMI is obviously the best connection if it's practical where you are going to present -- all projector features are implemented with an HDMI connection, and animations/ videos work without problems. The projector remote control allows limited control of presentations on the Mac when the HDMI connection is used. And you can use extended screen or mirror screen with the HDMI connection to the Mac.The WiFi connection is fine for presentations in Keynote and PowerPoint, but if you have embedded videos, you may experience delays and stuttering that ruin the desired effect. The WiFi is very handy where you don't want to be stringing wires (and packing and unpacking in somebody else's turf on somebody elses' time). It's nice to appear organized and neat -- even if you aren't either.I do agree with the comments of others re: the WiFi dongle: it is inconvenient to attach and unattach the device every time you use it; I know I will lose the screw for the support, and the WiFi hardware really should be inside the case. You cannot safely pack the projector with the dongle attached.All-in-all, I think this is a great projector for a very reasonable price, and, assuming no dark clouds appear on the reliability or bug horizons, I think it is well with the price, and has a very complete feature set for my purposes..This projector works extremely well with current MacBooks--the projector and computer talk to each other immediately, and they set each others' resolution without any human intervention.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Clear picture but the color isn't great

The main colors are blue and green.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome Projector for Conference Room
*by A***E on January 8, 2014*

I am in the process of replacing some old InFocus projectors and I bought the Epson to replace the first and to see how it works. My main problem is the florescent lighting in the office always kills the pictures so we have always had to turn them off to see the screen. I received the projector and immediately went into the conference room and removed the InFocus from the ceiling mount and installed the Epson. I turned it on and WOW!! What an awesome picture!! Crystal clear with the lights on!Setup and install were so easy a caveman could do it!! The network setup worked great and connecting a PC to the projector via our LAN was so simple.I forgot to mention we connected our cable box to it and now we can watch sports or news on the big screen!! My boss was extremely happy!!I am going to buy 2 more of these projectors shortly and would recommend them highly!!
