Prayers of Blessing over Your Husband (Freedom Prayers)

Ok I have to start off by saying that I am a very strong independent woman. (RAWR 🙄) I have broke up with this book so many times before I even made it through the 1st chapter. Sadly I should've not been so stubborn and read it through. At first I was so upset he was all like husband superior & you shall bow down to man... (my words not his) made me mad like a lot. I had to take a picture of his words and send it to my mom in law & ask WTH (I'm a cussing Christian. We all have sins move on.) She explained to me what was written about it. So I picked it back up and the cycle continues every other paragraph or so. BUT then I read where he explains that he isn't being all men are God's greatest gift to women that he actually wrote a book on the husbands prayer mantel. Then I calmed down like a good girl and finished the book. Obviously I am not a traditional Christian (I know it drives my son crazy too.) Not from lack of being taught, but because I can not find God in any churches I have gone to or been a member of. I find him right here where ever I am in every day life not church hours, probably because I'm on my best behavior in church and really don't need God during those times. Anyways I have been wanting to do better at being a Christian and thought this was a good start of a way to teach myself. I learned a lot from this book & I hope you do too.

Oh my, I ended up buying the paperback version of this book but when I tell you it has blessed my life. To pray for my husband in this way has been life-changing for me and to him. I can see the Lord working through these prayers as He answers them. This book is the real deal and biblically based!

I was looking for a new "guide" for praying for my husband of 29 years, and this book is it! I love how Bruce addresses the wife's role as helper in a positive way, and how important prayer is! The different areas for prayer broaden what I might normally pray about/for, example: Character: Taking Every Thought Captive. Also, the importance of praying specific details instead of general prayers like, protect my husband, give him a good day....encourages me to be more involved in his day to day needs/requests/issues he is dealing with at work or personally. The prayers have been spot on and I find myself saying "Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to say!" but worded better! I highly recommend this book, it is short & easy to read. I know I will use it for years!!

Women! If you want a guide to praying over your husband! This is a GREAT one. No topic left unprayed for! This isn't a one time read -- you can use this book over and over. Be prepared for great things to take place in your marriage! Don't give up -- keep reading, and if you have to pray the same prayer multiple times, just expect the reward to be that much greater!

I discovered this book through a Bible App 4 day devotion that highlighted a couple pages, but immediately ordered the book upon reading the devotional.It identifies and discusses the primary role of a wife which in this generation has been tainted and skewed. The authors beautifully highligh the importance of praying for your husband in addition to providing guiding prayers each day to lead you in prayer for him.I am reading it as I am preparing to marry my now fiancé and have already seen such fruit from it with countless answered prayers.Highly reccomended for women who are single, engaged, or married.

The format and prayers are great and cover every facet of his life and your relationship. It guides you on how to pray for everything in a clear way and puts into words many feelings/prayers you’ve had, but haven’t had the words for. This book is a true blessing for every marriage.

Really lovely.. I have gotten a lot out of this. I was reading it before I got engaged and it is helping me prepare and make a good habit of praying for my husband to be. It made me think of things I hadn’t before and makes me feel more confident! It’s from the perspective of a seasoned husband. A little “cheesy” sometimes maybe but it is a very powerful book. It is very short and practical with guided prayers that you can refer to over and over. Very glad I came across this! I have already seen answers to prayer and I feel like it is my little secret with God :) highly recommend for any engaged/married women.

I like the outline of the chapters and the content of the book was right on point for where I am in my marriage of 32yrs, with a changing spouse. I think it used to be called "growing apart". To me it's just another phase of life/marriage that we, couples, need to recognize and seek GOD more deeply than ever.I wish I understood this when I was younger, thinking what marriage would be like......it's nothing like TV or even what you see in others marriages because you will NEVER know what goes on between two people behind 'closed doors', only GOD knows.

This book is awesome it helps to read some of the blessings you can pray over your spouse.

A great book!

Not what I was expecting. This book along with most others are for praying for your husband IF he is a believer. Can't find many books on praying for an unbelieving husband.

my wife seems to be learning a few principles from the book. it's not a book we should rush through but read over and over.

A must have for the praying wife
