The Best
Rustichella d'Abruzzo has the reputation of being the best semi-widely available dried pasta. The very simple reason for this is that it is, in fact, the best semi-widely available dried pasta. Both the texture of the pasta, itself, as well as the consistency at al dente are second-to-none. I also find that if I accidentally go over by a minute and cook to "normal", as opposed to al dente, the consistency is still pretty good; as opposed to many other pastas that seem to go immediately from al dente to mushy. The flavor is excellent and has a distinctive but subtle malty taste to it that I enjoy. The money is... the money. It is obviously expensive for dried pasta, but dried pasta is so cheap to begin with that it doesn't feel like much of a big deal. (Get Rao's dried pasta if you are on a budget -- it isn't as good, but it is still very high quality, imo.)

Wow. Well worth purchasing quality pasta. I’ve never tasted fettuccine anywhere near as good as this! Pasta is nice and thick. So easy to cook al dente.

A really good pasta.
Great flavor, quality ingredients and have never disappointed with any of the products they make. Has a wonderful texture, holds on to sauce very well and has a great bite.

Great pasta but annoying packaging.
Great pasta. However, I purchased 3 of the fettuccine packages to put into gift baskets for my friends. They arrived with very large stickers plastered all over the packaging that really ruined the look of each of the whole gift baskets. I don’t often go to this much effort, so grrrrrrrr.

Worth the price!
Will only buy this type of pasta from now on. Wanted to try “fancy” pasta and I will not go back. Definitely worth the price!
