A good option for the price
I’ve been using the Razer DeathAdder Essential for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s a solid pick for anyone looking to step up their gaming without spending a fortune. Right out of the box, it feels great in the hand—super comfortable, especially if you’ve got bigger hands or play for long sessions. The rubber side grips keep it from slipping, even during intense moments in games like Valorant or Apex Legends. The 6400 DPI sensor is smooth and responsive, perfect for quick flicks and precise aiming. I’m no pro gamer, but it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it, from fast-paced shooters to slower strategy games. The five programmable buttons are a nice touch—I set up a couple for in-game shortcuts, and the Razer Synapse software made it a breeze to customize them. The clicks feel snappy and satisfying, and I love that it’s built to last with those mechanical switches. My only gripes? The green lighting (it’s just one color) looks cool but feels a bit basic compared to other Razer mice with full RGB. Also, the cable isn’t braided, which isn’t a dealbreaker but would’ve been nice for that premium feel. Oh, and if you’re left-handed, this one’s not for you since it’s designed for righties. It’s reliable, comfy, and gets the job done without any fuss. If you’re a casual gamer or just want a solid mouse for everyday use, I’d definitely recommend it.

Great quality for an affordable price.
The Razer Deathadder Essential is part of Razer's best selling and legendary Deathadder lineup of gaming mice, and while most of its "cousins" tend to lean on the pricier side, the Essential is one that definitely stands out from the rest. I bought this for less than $30, but I feel like I got way more than what I paid for because it doesn't feel like an entry level gaming mouse at all. It's surprisingly light and its ergonomic design is perfect for my hand size. Some of the mice that I used in the past would cause me to feel small levels of discomfort after hours of continuous use, but this was not the case with the Deathadder Essential. I used it for more than about 5 hours straight and I didn't feel any discomfort or numbness around my fingers at all. It's durable enough to last for up to 10 million clicks, and unless you double click the left and right mouse buttons with the speed of a raging jack rabbit during mating season, I doubt you're gonna be able to get through all of those clicks in the next 5 years or so.Some of the reviews that I've read here have aired complaints about the bloatware that comes with it, but for me it wasn't really an issue. When you first plug in the mouse it will require you to install Razer Synapse where you can sign up with Razer and customize your mouse as you see fit.I only customized the lighting options as the games that I play really aren't that heavy on macros. The Synapse software is pretty intuitive and easy to navigate, so most users shouldn't have a problem understanding it after a few minutes of tinkering with its settings. My only complaint about the Deathadder essential would have to be the material used for its build. I'm not saying it's flimsy and breaks easily, but it doesn't feel as "aesthetically pleasing" as its more expensive counterparts. The quality is decent, make no mistake about it, but I guess for less than $30 you really can't expect it to look and feel like the Razer Mamba or Deathadder V2.Final Verdict: The Deathadder Essential is a very good option for those who want to purchase a basic and affordable gaming mouse that feels great, works great, and has a pretty neat look to it.

Excellent Simple Mouse
I love using this mouse, it's comfortable and performs very well. I have several computers and this mouse is used at each. What I like about it is that it is not very complicated, you don't need to load any software but you could if you want to have more control over the mouse. The colors and be change, I picked my color of choice an lock it in. I don't care for the changing color effect. My first Deathadder Essential mouse is several years old and it's still working well so you get your monies worth.

Great function and feel, but the side grips will peel off!!!
Great quality mouse, but my main issue, along with other MICE, has been that the rubber grips on the sides lose adhesion and fall off. It might be better with it all off, for real. I don't know if the technology even exists for a solid adhesive to hold, but it really feels nice being smooth and al that shit no longer there.Razer, don't make me feel gunked up and nasty, bro. Just give me a solid product. It's not hard to be clean. Don't fall in line with the other rejects.

Solid Mouse. Fits my hands well. Very satisfied.
The presentation was very good, solid box, tissue lining, and quality packaging for the mouse itself. The mouse feels very solid and sturdy and fits my hand very well(I'm rather tall and have long fingers so having a good fit for the mouse was very well appreciated.) The material feels high quality, the mousewheel feels solid, and the clicks are all pleasingly tactile. The side buttons are in the perfect position to prevent accidental triggering while being easy to reach and use without issue, and the mouse lacks the extra top button for DPI switching that I know many people enjoy but I often find a hazard for misclicks personally. The mouse also glides very well across my desk, feels very slick and fluid, and this is only further enhanced when used atop a good mousepad. One minor critique is I purchased this model thinking it was the Synapse 2.0 version since my keyboard is Synapse 2.0, but given that I can run both 2.0 and 3.0 simultaneously and given how well the mouse rated in all other categories I consider it a net win and am very thoroughly pleased.

My personal favorite
I’ve had this mouse for 7 years and I’ve never found one that has come close. It’s great if you have big hands, as I do. Very good mouse
