Seiko Men's SNE100 Solar Functional Watch

Keeps perfect time, but after two days wearing it, I noticed that in the cold, the watch was fogged over inside the crystal. Inside where it was warm, the fogging went away. The watch hasn't been wet yet and it already has moisture issues. Amazon is advance shipping the replacement, however, we'll see how the next one works out. I LOVE this watch, I hope the replacement is better. I've never had a Seiko leak in 4 decades of Seiko watches, from 17 jewel automatics to the Kinetic, they never leaked. A bit disappointing. Amazon is wonderful, though.To amend, I got the advance replacement from Amazon a couple of days after my original take and the watch is perfect. Keeps time to the second over a couple of day test span and no moisture inside or leaking, I checked! Kudos to Amazon and Seiko. Now I'm hap-hap-HAPPY!To amend yet again (with a month and a week using it now), I use a Casio at work that's my beater-watch, also a solar product. I wear the Solar 100M on dates and whatnot. It's rugged and all, I just can't bring myself to beat it up at work. So, for five or six days a week I keep this Seiko locked in a drawer (long story why) and it's therefore in the dark all week. Just from wearing the Seiko Solar on Saturday and Sunday and a lot of that under my coat, night time and not in bright light, yet it gathers enough light to continue running with perfect time throughout. It draws compliments everywhere, too. VERY cool watch.

I order this watch Casio SNE100 because it really looks good and most of the reviews are excellent, some of them over the top but that is exactly the reason I bought it. Unfortunately, I have to return it without having to see it because being a Prime member, I would expect to be delivered on time. I got numerous messages that it would be late but I don't mind, even saying it would be delivered 9pm. I waited and waited and finally it says it would be delayed up to 3 days. Well, I cancelled it and ordered one from Ebay, identical, brand new and most of all, almost half the price. I received it 2 days priority mail. Wow oh wow! It was indeed a beautiful watch and I highly recommend this. Some reviews said, it is too large but for me I wish it's larger, maybe I am just used on wearing diver's watch. Just like right now, I am wearing Casio MTD 1079, an excellent watch, 2 batteries I recently changed and perfectly happy on it. I just wish my newly bought Seiko SNE100 would not give me trouble like this Casio.

I would liken this watch size to that of a "Divers' Watch". It's the largest watch I've owned but is good looking. It renders the appearance of high quality that you might expect from a Seiko watch. Arrived 3 days early. The band was easy to adjust and I love what I'll call a micro adjustment near the clasp. As large as this watch is, I know it's going to get knocked into things, so the flush mounted crystal is an important feature. The band is quite robust and shouldn't stretch like a typical dress watch. The feature that's most important to me is it's water proof. In my line of work, I'm always sticking my arm into water and swim a great deal. For the price over retail, i can live with the size.

Watch face was larger then I expected

This watch has all the right features I was looking for at the right price. It is waterproof, day and date, and even glows in the dark. Best of all it never needs batteries. It keeps good time as I checked it against my atomic clock over the past few days. It is also a very smart looking dress watch. Only problem is the band is too big which can be remedied at he local jewelry store.

So far so good. Bit heavier than anticipated. Good looking watch and feels solid08/2019 - didn't quite make 2 years. Will no longer hold charge. Place in sun on covered patio for two days - didn't make it thru night and DOA next morning. Will see how the Seiko warranty goes and will update.08/24/19 - contact Seiko regarding warranty. Watch returned USPS yesterday 8/23 for warranty repair(s).09/09/2019 - returned from 09/07 Seiko warranty repair in working order, looking brand new, Service included fix or replace needed movement parts, new gaskets,battery, reseal, testing, lube cleaning of exterior parts. I think they replaced crystal as no scratches apparent. This watch has a three year warranty and if one registered on line with Seiko, get an additional year. This return for warranty cost me $7.50 via USPS to Seiko. Not happy with failure, but still a beautiful watch and happy with warranty service.

This exact same watch sells on the Seiko website for $265 which aoso is the price on the retail sticker. I paid less than $125. Watch came with the same 3 year warranty from the manufacturer. A beautiful, durable, accurate watch.In searching for watches, I found that "New" can mean "in the box and never opened" or "without a box" or it can mean it has been used as a display model in a store and can have some minor wear and tear on it. So be careful and go slow and read ALL the print. Any type of "new" is fine as long as you know what you are buying.

I wanted a good looking watch at a reasonable price. This one never needs winding as it is solar, and looks better than watches priced much higher. And it's Seiko quality. very satisfied.

Beautiful watch, was weary how the gold would look and it’s impressive, nice 9ct colour, glad I took others advice after purchasing a Michael Kors watch, many people online have suggested seiko and I’m pleased I did the switch, need to take out 3 links for me

Ich erhielt die Uhr als selbstgemachtes Weihnachtsgeschenk.Ich wählte sie, um eine "goldene" Uhr in meinem kleinen Bestand zu haben, dazu mit einer technischen Finesse- derAufladung durch Solarzellen. Ansonsten habe ich nur Automatik-Uhren.Sie kam an in einer tollen Box, noch zweimal umverpackt, Amazon-schnell.Sie erscheint durch ein relativ niedriges Gewicht und auch optisch nicht ganz so wertig, wie die Abbildung es vermittelt. Niemand käme z.b. auf die Idee, dass hier echtes Gold im Spiel wäre.Alles egal, noch kein Grund die Uhr zurückzugeben. In dieser Machart gibt es nur wenig Konkurrenz.Dann etwas sehr ärgerliches:das Armband ist bei dieser Uhr genau optisch abgestimmt und für mich ein integraler Bestandteil der Uhr.KEINERLEI Hinweise, wie dieses Armband gekürzt werden könnte- statt dessen auf der einen Seite der Splinte ein angetäuschter Schraubenschlitz (Lupe zur Hilfe genommen). Mit keinem meiner Feinmechaniker-Werkzeuge kam ich da rein. Auch Abschleifen des kleinsten Schraubendrehers auf unter 1mm brachte nichts.Also im Internet Uhrmacher-Schraubendreher gekauft und entsprechend gewartet.Diese sind gekommen und wieder nichts. Mit keinem der sieben Schraubendreher liess sich auch nur ein Splint drehen. Da hab ichs dann mit einem Trick versucht, eine Büroklammer kurz mit Zange angefasst und versucht, einen Splint von der Rückseite rauszudrücken- mit viel Kraft und ZACK .. blutigem Finger beim ersten Splint .. klappte es. Die Schlitze sind nur angetäuscht und die Splinte zum ausdrücken vorgesehen.Nun trage ich die Uhr und bin ansonsten zufrieden-aber sehr sauer darüber, dass langatmig große Tabellen von Laufzeiten nach Glühlampenladelicht, Sonne, Neonlampen in der Beschreibung erwähnt werden, aber KEIN einziger Hinweis auf Verkürzung des Ambandes- noch nicht mal ein Hinweis auf Seiko-Serviceleister etc.Man wird da einfach allein gelassen.Großer Verbesserungsbedarf!Nachtrag Juni 2013:Der Ärger über die blutige Armbandverkürzung ist verraucht, die Uhr läuft nun schon ein halbes Jahr ohne Korrektur absolut exakt- wie eine Funkuhr. Mit ihrem Aussehen habe ich mich angefreundet- absolut unaufdringlich und solide.Ich habe einen Stern dazu spendiert.
