prefect item
I don't have much "meat" on the pads of my fingers and my nails can grow to be like 1/2 cm long. So taking out my soft contacts is really hard if I haven't trimmed my nails.I just used this to take out my contacts for the night and this is really helpful. I can see myself with press on nails and comfortably taking out my contacts while on a trip. The handler felt more gentle than my own fingers when I take out contacts. I didn't feel like I was poking my eye out either. Not sure if I will use the other side to help with inserting my contacts, but it still will be helpful if I don't have the normal tool I use for inserting.Definitely get this if you use long press on nails or have long nails in general, or if you aren't comfortable with touching your eyeball.

Totally useless
If you are getting this tool because you are having trouble getting your contact out (like I was) then forget about it. You will get just as much headache if not worse, and you lost your money. If you are one of those people having trouble getting your contacts out, this tool won't help. In some ways it is actually worse than using your hand, because there is no tactile feedback, so you lose force feedback and finesse of grip. Several dozen times I felt the contact coming almost out, only to have the rubber gripper lose the grip and have the contact slide right back in, at least with my fingers this never happened. So this tools is counter productive and wastes more time and makes it more frustration. No matter how you slice it, the tool has no gripping ability at all...Now if you were one of those people that have no issues getting contacts out, then you wouldn't be needing this in the first place. So no matter how you put it, this crap ain't working. I would give this product negative five stars if I could.

It works
I have long nails and needed something to get my contacts out. This product works. I've tried it twice now and it worked both times without issue. Easy to use. Slip resistant. Comfortable. Sturdy.

Awesome! So easy
This tool worked right away it was so easy and I'm so happy. At 59 my dexterity isn't as good as it was and I have beautiful artificial nails so getting my contacts out without irritating my eyes was an issue. Not anymore this simple little silicone tool makes it comfortable and easy to remove my contacts.Five stars!I truly cannot understand why other reviewers can't figure out how to use this tool it's very straightforward.

Soft Lens Handler
This little tool is very helpful for anyone who has longer nails. I have naturally long nails that make taking my contacts out almost impossible. I always had to cut them short, then I could just pinch and grab no problem. Only, I love my nails longer and I had to look for a compromise when I came across this. I ordered and hoped for the best. The product itself is not bad, it's a soft rubber and very pliable when pinched, almost too soft. I seem to always get one contact out very easily, but struggle with the second one some days. It might take me more tries until I get that firm grip. That may be my only gripe, but maybe it's just me having problems. It's very hit or miss when both contacts come out very easily. It takes some practice, but these are indeed a life saver for me because I can continue to wear my contacts with long nails.

Got difficult contact out that drs couldn't see.
The media could not be loaded. This product was a life saver!!! I read most of the reviews good and bad. I just opened the product and used it. It didn't hurt. I didn't feel it. Got the contact out in ONE try on both my problem eye and the easier one. I have artificial nails medium to short length. I've used contacts in the past about 7 years ago no issues.I had issues to the point of buying this product and sleeping with my contacts until it came it. I used my prime so I got it Sunday. I didn't want to mess up my problem eye more than what I have. And I went to 3 eye doctors and they said that it fell out, bought 4 different solutions and lubes, 4 different magnification mirrors from my bathroom 1x to 20x. But I got it out and my other lens from the same eye with this product!! Mmm...Trick... Wash your hands, dry them, have all your stuff ready (solution, eye drops, lens case and a mirror with decent lighting). Keep the item dry. Have a steady hand. Put it towards the center of the contact. Close together as if youre tweezing hair. Grab. And pull out. The contact came out in ONE try with a 1x magnification.I'm buying at least 2 more for my car and my work locker. Highly recommended!

There seem to be two kinds of people
Those for whom this item works, and those for whom it does not. Unfortunately, I fell into the latter. I was very hopeful, after reading some of the positive reviews, that this gadget would be the answer to my prayers and help me remove my soft lenses. I hoped the rough texture would grasp the lens surface and allow it to be creased and lifted off the eye.It takes me a long time to get my lenses out, and repeated attempts always leave my eyes red and irritated to the point that I just don't wear the lenses often. This device is a soft, rubbery forceps that theoretically grasps the lens to lift it away from the surface of the eye. I've tried it a few times with NO success whatsoever. It's constructed with the ends tapering out, so the opening is wider toward the outer tips closest to the eye. I can't see how the device could possibly grasp and hold the lens. The inner edges, away from the lens, will come together before the outer edge touching the lens ever will. After many tries, and making my eye just as sore as any other technique I've tried - but with even less success, I'm sorry to have to say that in my own experience, this, unfortunately, was a complete waste of money, rubber, and the energy required to package and ship it to my door. :-(
