Delicious and Nutritious!
This food is great, my 12 week old kitten absolutely inhales the stuff. She starts begging like crazy the minute I open the can! Since we brought her home from the shelter (where she was being fed Purina Kitten Chow) we've noticed her coat has softened, her eyes are brighter and she's growing like a weed! Also her, shall we say "business" has significantly less odor than when we first got her. Wellness food (both wet and dry) costs a little more but you have to consider a couple important things. First, It's our responsibility as pet owners to provide for our pet's well being and that includes ensuring they receive proper nutrition which, as we all know, is the foundation of good health. If you made the decision to take on a pet (which is a dependent) you owe it to them to ensure they are well nourished. Second, this food doesn't have fillers and it's packed with nutrients so the cat fills up quicker and eats less of it so the cost is defrayed in that respect. Just like humans, if a cat eats nutritionally deficient food they're going to be hungry all the time because their bodies are screaming out for the nutrition it needs. That will cause them to eat way more food which costs more and can cause weight problems and costly trips to the vet throughout their lives. Paying a little more now for good food will save you money in the long run. Do yourself and your furry little friend a favor and feed them well so they can reward you with many years of good health and companionship!

As good as it gets for wet food, I think
We've had about four case shipments of this kitten/cat food since I found it on Amazon at a good price per can (compared to other lesser quality "natural" canned cat foods in our area: this particular food isn't found in a brick and mortar near us). As some reviewers have stated, it is a bit on the dry side, very dense, but I mix it with a good amount of hot water and our kitten prefers it that way anyhow; the "gravy" is her favorite part. She likes it pretty well. She's a moderately picky eater but not terribly so. She doesn't devour it with rabid enthusiasm like she does Friskies wet food (she lacks good taste, I think), but she doesn't refuse it like she does some. She eats it. That, combined with the fact that it's no more expensive than trash wet food and is obviously of higher quality makes it a winner in my book. Her coat has become very silky since starting this food and she's the picture of health. Aside from the online reviews, recommendations, and ingredient list, I know it's better cat food because: 1) It doesn't smell atrocious, like most wet foods. When you open a can there is just the faintest aroma of canned meat, almost like something a human would find edible, and 2) Her bowels are much improved when eating this alone. Any food change, in addition to medical issues, can cause gassiness/diarrhea in a cat and especially a young kitten, but after she adjusted to this food we've noticed her litter box is MUCH less stinky and her stools are of a normal firmness. My husband bought her a small pack of Friskies as a "treat" recently and mixed them with this for a few days without my knowledge, but I knew something was up because her stools were looser for quite awhile, and much stinkier. In summary, I'd say this Wellness wet food is about as good as it gets unless you make your own cat food - highly recommend.

Best kitten food!
I love this brand for my kitten. Itโs a great cost for the quality and my cat loves it! I find it to be a better option to more affordable cat foods. This is a product I repurchase over and over again. Itโs a great quality food if you care about your kittenโs health.

Great Food For Foster Kittens
I foster kittens and always use a combination of this food and Blue Buffalo Indoor Kitten Freedom Grain Free Food. I love that it comes in bulk (feed 3-5 kittens I can't justify getting individual cans at the store), it is grain free and feel like it is a high quality food for growing kittens. Also, the price is competitive that I've noticed compared to buying the same quantity at a pet food store (which the closest store to me that carries this food is 30 mins away). The past year I've had 21+ kittens come through my house and never had one turn up his/her nose to this food. The scent doesn't bother me (to me it isn't strong). It does come in a "loaf" form. I know my resident cat turns her nose up at "loaf" canned food but I've never had any other kittens have issues with this. I also like to use this food to wean kittens onto solid food by making "gruel" by mixing this canned food with KMR & pedialyte (or water). Cons: It is sometimes hard to get it out of the can- lots of shaking up and down, often causing a mess because there is some liquid in the can that flies everywhere (read: on my clothes). Also, most cat food cans have the self opening tab (so you don't need a can opener) but at least one of the cans in each pack of 24 usually won't open and the tab breaks off-- in which case you need a can opener to open it.

Food looks like white mold is growing on it
I was shocked to open 2 full cases of this cat food and see that it had a white substance attached to the sides of the food. The substance looks exactly like mold that grows on cheese. I contacted the Wellness company and sent them pictures so they could determine the nature of the substance. They got back to me quickly to report that the white substance was part of the gravy. What???? There is gravy in the food; however, it does not have a white substance in it. The substance is attached to the food. I am concerned that the food could be making my kitten sick. He runs to his litter box after eating the food, has runny stools and his litter box smells horrible! After this occurrence I spent weeks researching safe and healthy cat food for my kitten and cat. I'd speculate that 98% of the cat food on the market today contains ingredients that are detrimental to the health of cats. I discovered a great deal of valuable information regarding the ingredients that cats should never consume because they've proven to cause serious diseases such as obesity; diabetes; kidney problems; allergies; and even cancer! Cat food should not contain: corn; wheat; rice; gluten; soy products; peas; any kind of sugar; meat by-products (because companies do not disclose where these by-products come from and can come from dead, decaying animals); animal digest; bone meal; poultry fat; palatants; brewers yeast; carrageenan (the FDA approved it for human consumption; however, humans should not consume it and itโs not suitable for cats either); guar gum; phosphates, pyrophosphates, and polyphosphates; salt; cellulose; colors (yellow 5, yellow 6, blue 2, red 3, red 40); and BHA, BHT, ethoxyquin (chemical preservatives), Xanthan gum; fish oil (fish is a common allergen for cats.) This Wellness food contains 4 of the ingredients that cats/kittens should not consume: natural flavorings, guar gum; fish oil and xanthan gum.

Quality ingredients for the price.
I bought this because I got a new kitten and wanted to do the best I could for her. I did some research and saw that this was one of the better rated foods at about the highest price I was willing to pay. She was a foundling at 2 weeks old and was bottle fed and then given friskies adult wet food. The woman didnโt really like cats, but did what she thought was the best. She had me take her at 5 weeks. I weaned her onto this food and sheโs been growing like a weed since then. She comes running when I whistle her up to eat. I was actually surprised when I went to do this review and saw a lot of negative reviews, siting โwhite stuffโ, bad smell, and causing sickness in there cat. I have ordered several cases from amazon at this point. Itโs the 24-pack of 3oz. cans. I have never had issues. No bone shards, โwhite stuffโ, or bad smells. It smells like kitten food and she can definetly smell it. You have to basically stick your nose in it; or have an unladylike like girl choke down half a can and then jump on your chest and burp in your face. So I canโt speak to the other reviews and I will be keeping an eye out, but Iโll continue to order this food. Iโm happy with the ingredients and happy with the price. I think the โCoreโ line is better, but at twice the price, the slightly quality improvement isnโt going to noticeable. Sheโs already way above the meow mix we had our old cat on at the same age. She also has access to Royal Canin dry food in case she gets hungry between morning and evening wet food. I read kittens should have access to food 24/7 till 1 year and then Iโll start limiting her intake. Having said that, there were posters saying their cats wouldnโt take it. She had both available from day one and she didnโt touch the dry food for 3 weeks. I finally figured she might not know itโs food and started sprinkling it over her wet food. She finally started eating it and now eats it between wet meals, but she still chokes down the wet before the dry. Lastly, someone mentioned reheating issues. They thought that microwaving it would make the center scalding. I found that using the lid or something, you can chop it up and 10 seconds just makes it warm, not hot. Iโd recommend this food to people for the ingredients and price. I will keep an eye out for the issues others had mentioned.

Very good
Item came in good condition and earlier than ETA date. My 10 week old kittens were able to finish this quickly. It must be very tasty. Purchased during Black Friday sale. Wish prices could be lower so that I can buy on regular intervals.

Good healthy food
Good healthy food, but I wish it came in bigger sized cans. My 9 month old kitten who is just under 10 pounds can finish a whole can in one meal. so we run out quite quickly.
