Calling All Witches! The Girls Who Left Their Mark on the Wizarding World (Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts)

This cute little book is based on the movies and is attractively organized information about girl power! Avid HP and FB followers probably wont find anything new here, but it is fun to read through and think about JK Rowlings amazing leading ladies from a female point of view. Lovely/darling illustrations make it just as pretty to browse as read, and if you take time to look at them, you'll find little details such as characters' patronuses and important house items included. Organized by topical tidbits, its easy to pick up and read as little or as much as you like depending on how much time you have. While it is probably geared for tweens and teens, I am enjoying reading it and look forward to sharing it with my Harry Potter obsessed daughters.

This book was very interesting and I loved the artwork in it. I enjoyed that even the smaller or side characters were included in this catalog of all the women and girls from Harry Potter's world. It was very thorough as in which characters it included (it got just about all the women), though the biographies on each of them were pretty short so avid fans of the series won't learn too much they've never heard before. I think the real draw here is the artwork, which is gorgeous.

I absolutely love this book and have been wanting a copy since I saw it at a school book fair. It was cheaper here so naturally I resisted the urge of instant gratification. I grew up with Harry Potter and I love this book highlights the strength and independence of the witches who helped build the universe I grew to love.

Pleasantly surprised with this book! Our 9 year old daughter loved it as a gift for Xmas. If you have an HP lover and want to teach your children that women can do anything this is perfect.

The book is awesome. Perfect for any HP fan. Sadly my hardback arrived damaged but too closed to Christmas to return so hoping I can make it work.

Great book to add to your collection. Just a FYI: For the Harry Potter based characters their descriptions are based off of the movies not the books. Which is not a bad thing but just a FYI. It definitely is a great book for fans of the wizarding world.

In our homeschool curriculum for our daughter and just for general reading with our younger daughter, I like to incorporate girls on girls being strong and empowered. I like to teach them that girls can be or do anything they want if they work for it. This book makes that even more fun by using the girls and women of Harry Potter as examples.

Metterei 10 stelle se potessi. Il libro è assolutamente fantastico. Fatto molto bene. Le illustrazioni sono a dir poco magiche. Ottima qualità prezzo. Non vedo l'ora di leggere tutto. Assolutamente consigliato per i fan Harry Potter.

My 7-year-old loves this book and has devoured every single word. She's only read the first two books and movies, and this book is definitely full of spoilers, but she doesn't seem to mind.
