This brand seems to absorb water as well as others I have used. All my floral foam, this brand included, begin to crumble after several uses (Yes, when the arrangement no longer looks good, I toss the flowers, air-dry the floral foam, and save it to use again.) However, I do use a bit of bleach cleaner in the water with which I soak the foam, to extend the life of my flowers.
