OEM fluid
I prefer this product as it is what the Manufacturer specifically calls for. Back in the 2000's Ford had transmission issues and this fluid was the cure, per Ford. Therefore this is what I've been using for the last 20 years and have no issues.

Great price.
Did a total fluid change and filter change on 1997 Crown Vic, Car is low mileage at 49k, shuttered at 26 & 45 MPH. The factory Motorcraft Mercon V solved the problem, now shifts beautifully. I should have done this a long time ago. Great price for a case, a lot cheaper than auto part stores or dealer.

Always use the manufacturers Transmission Fluid
The first time I changed the Transmission fluid in my Ford Pick up I used the Valvoline equivalent of this product. Within days in noticed the transmission started shifting harshly at low speeds. I just changed it again a few days ago and decided to use the manufacturers brand. I was able to get 98 percent of the old fluid out this time. The transmission shifts like it is new again. Remember that this transmission fluid was designed for your Ford transmission as designated by the manufacturer. I am not mechanic. I do not work for Ford, but have changed quite a few vehicle fluids over my years. My recommendation only, good luck with your project.

Ford requires that you use only their transmission fluid in their transmissions, I don’t know if this is a marketing ploy or if there is a valid reason, anyhow, price was much lower than what I would have paid if I had tried to buy such a large quantity locally.
