I have been looking at shade sails for a couple of years, because we have a patio and pergola area that we could only enjoy for a couple of hours in the morning, before the sun came over the house, and then in the evenings. We wanted to be able to enjoy this area a lot more! These shade sails give an excellent amount of protection from the hot sun providing very good shade, more than I expected - as you can see in my photo of the whole patio area - that photo was taken at a time where it would be full sun without them. I wrestled with myself over the sizes I should choose and I ordered two of the 8 x 12 rectangle sales. We actually hired someone to put them up for us, and quite frankly, now that I see what they did, we absolutely could have done it ourselves. In fact we are going to move the brackets because they’re not pulled tight enough. That said, even though there’s a decent amount of movement, they held up beautifully when we’ve had high winds, a few gusts up to 50+ mph. We’ve had them put up about 8 weeks now, so I can’t speak for long term, but so far they are doing great. My only regret is that I should’ve gotten the 12 x 12 square to go over the actual patio area. Being that we will be taking these down in a couple of months for winter, we decided that next year we will just order one of the custom sized triangles to prevent the afternoon sun from being on our table and chairs. Also, when I first opened them up I was a little nervous about how they would look, but I couldn’t be happier with them! We have gotten a lot of compliments on what a great idea this was. I just wish I had ordered them 2 years ago!!

It’s too soon to tell how they hold up but they have withstood 40 mph gusts already with no damage. Hope the sun doesn’t fade them too bad this summer. Very happy buyer for now.

I purchased this as an alternative to a large offset umbrella because I wanted more coverage, and wanted to be able to hang outdoor lights as well. This canopy works great for the purpose - dilutes the sun and looks nice. I didn't see any installation instructions so I looked up a tutorial on YouTube. I followed those instructions, but my canopy sags, despite my measuring and re-measuring. We'll have to move the 2 of the anchor spots so the canopy can be pulled taut, but even with the sagging it looks ok. I purchased a second of these in a different size for a separate location so they will match and look nice. Great value for the money. Knocking off 1 star on installation for there being no instructions.UPDATE: My husband moved the anchor points on the side of the house to stretch it and it no longer sags. It looks really good still - has been up for almost a year - and lasted through the winter weather (heavy rain, heavy wind gusts, some freezing nights). We purchased a hanging kit on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXZUU6X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1), looked up hanging instructions on You Tube, and voila! The rain does go through the fabric though, so this is a true SUN shade, not a waterproof rain cover.

Installed 3 weeks ago and product works exactly as I was hoping it would. We had some Steel posts fabricated that double as plant hangars and supports for this sun shade. Have noticed no sagging in 3 weeks. Will update review at end of summer if it can't take the abuse of the sun.

We used this shade to block sun entering our school room window by hanging it vertically from the far edge of the outdoor patio overhang. We used eyebolts at the top and bottom with short bungie cord loops to keep the shade tight. When not in use, we roll it up and clip it to the top hooks. It has made a huge difference in lowering the heat in the area where the afternoon sun was shining on one of the tables.

The build quality and strength of this sail is impressive. While not water proof, rain will run off the fabric, pool and drip at the lowest dip points. Those dips can be positioned away from activity areas to provide an effective rain cover for all but the worst down-pours. You can put a lot of tension on the anchor points without any detectible stress on the fabric.

This product is very strong and well made. It was easy to work with and filters out the brightest sun rays. I love it. I hung it from my carport awning to block the sun from my porch and make it easier to park in my carport without being blinded by the late afternoon sun. It has metal grommets and but you can also push "S" hooks or other hangers thru the weave without making permanent holes in it. You can also purchase a hanging kit with hooks and loops that would also work, Bur I didn't use it.

I ordered this canopy in white...I would love a pale sky blue, but haven't found it yet. It was very easy to install-my son and I had it up in less than 30 minutes. I appreciated the various size options. It has done a good job of cutting the strong sunlight that was hitting my southern exposure patio. It appears to be sturdy, but it will need to be up for awhile for me to determine its durability. At this point I would have to say I am very happy with the product and the vendor.

We strung this up overlapped with a second one under our pergola over our patio. It works very well as a bright sun shade with no burning.We had to buy the correct lengths of aircraft wire at Home Depot and a few extra karabiners to the purchased package of installation gear. The supplied screws would have been more useful if the had been wood screws.

Je ne peux pas dire grand chose, car je ne l’ai pas encore installé. Ce sera pour l’été pochaine. Mais la qualité du matériel me semble très très bien.

This is terrible quality I have bought a sale before and wanted one in black from a different company mine was Fabric and beautiful, this one is terrible! It's made out of tarp material so cheap do not buy beware I want my money back
