These are a product of Morocco and are Sardina pilchardus. The price is great. Packed in water with no added salt. These definitely have pretty much all the scales on them, but it’s not a big deal, you just rinse them off real quick. It’s packed in water with no salt anyway so you’re not really washing off any flavor. Very healthy and nutritious for both you and your dogs or cats. Yes, I bought these for my dog and she loves them…but I also love sardines myself. So I tried some. Tastes great!

I've replaced our 4 Dogs' Salmon and Fish Oil Supplements with Ocean Prince No-Salt Added Sardines. The Price is Great + Wild Caught-No Salt Added Sardines in Water have the edge over Salmon: EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) - a great source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and coenzyme Q10. What about Mercury? They are small and low on the food chain, so Sardines contain minimal amounts of Mercury in comparison to larger fish. Omega-3s boost all aspects of health, decreasing inflammation and reducing the risk of illness. BTW: The Wild Prince are larger, whole sardines. I add 1 sardine to each of our dog's bowls 1x a day. The results: gorgeous, shiny coats and no dry itchy skin. Our 9 & 10 year-olds are also enjoying excellent mobility. They have chicken-allergies...(many of the dog vitamins/supplements on the market are chicken-based and/or can cause harsh GI issues) - These Sardines have proven to be the best supplement, overall.

Excellent texture and very mild taste. Easy to eat by itself for good protein.

Excellent product. Very tasty, contains 3.8 grams of Omega-3 fats per tin, so a great source of that important nutrient. I only gave 4 stars because I happen to prefer the taste of their sardines in soybean oil; but someone with different tastes might well prefer the ones in water because they don't add any unneeded oils to the sardines.

Great price, great quality I buy this frequently & in bulk to use for dog food. They love it & very healthy with increased coat shine.

I have three cats and one dog and like to give them all some type of real meat once a day in addition to their other food. They all go crazy for these sardines! They can't wait for me to feed them in the morning because they all know that is when they get their sardines! They usually all circle my feet while I'm preparing their breakfast because they can't hold their excitement. I've checked many places for sardines in water (no salt) and this is the best price I have found. I am a repeat buyer. Thanks for making this package afordable!

It’s got some solid chunks, but there are these big fish flakes mixed in that. The flavor’s off too makes me question if it’s really wild caught. Can’t return it, so it’s a waste.

The reviews scared me but I had to try for myself. I got the ones in water. Firstly they are not salty, they are normal. Yea there is a bit of water you get 3 to 4 sardines per can and they fill it out ok. They are mushy technically, to me it’s tender lol, I like mushy, it doesn’t bother me. But the texture is very fall apart with any handling The deal on these makes them basically great to me. The CA reproductive harm warning etc. is actually common and it’s a California legislature, it doesn’t mean anything, and really is applicable to half the food we eat that doesn’t have the warning. Canned seafood companies put that warning on all their products In order to comply with CA even tho it really applies only to smoked products and just barely even there. So I’d say the 1 star reviews are not accurate , for all my sardine lovers.
