How long do the batteries last before having to replace them?

We have 4 of them in my dark hallway so that at night my mom doesn't trip on a cat. We have 3 cats, two dogs, and two bedrooms at the end of the hallway. They probably get tripped 20-30 times a night. The batteries generally need to be replace every 3 months. I use Amazon Basic rechargeables. I just pop them on the charger in my morning if I notice low light and they are ready by sunset.

How long does the light stay on?

When detecting motion, it lights up for around 16s. As long as it detects motion, it will stay on.

can i turn them on and off manually ??

No, it does not have a manual switch.

Do i have to screw or stick them on the wall or can i stand it up on a shelf?

You can stand these on a shelf, on the hallway floor or space them along a flight of stairs--they're stable and portable, bright enough for safety but not so bright to prevent you from falling back to sleep easily! I also have them on the front and back porches (facing the outside doors), on the bathroom floor, on a shelf inside the closets, on counters in the kitchen and any dark corner that needs a bit of light any time of day. Can you tell I'm a fan of these useful little lights?! Oh yes--I pack one in my suitcase whenever we travel. Enjoy these handy little lights. Just remember to avoid blocking motion sensor!
