Replaced my original geater hose adapter with this piece. Exact oem fitment meanjng it is still plastic but feels durable enough. Easy to install. No leaks whatsoever, great price and great fitment.

My old connector completely disintegrated when I pulled on it. My car was immobilized with this broken part. This was a perfect replacement and arrived in one day. It was a simple replacement of an identical part.

Identical like the OEM part. The problem is it is made of plastic. Heat and age eventually cause the part to become brittle and break apart. It is best to have a spare one on hand otherwise you'll loose all of your coolant and get stranded when it breaks apart. Or just replace it as a preventive maintenance item every 3 years. I wish Dorman would come up with an upgrade for this part made in brass or stainless steel instead of plastic. That would be the permanent fix.

Perfect replacement part for a very reasonable price. So much so, that I keep a spare in the vehicle, just in case. This is such a quick repair that if it cracks or splits, you can repair it under 5 minutes, if you have the part. Where I live every auto parts place has this for special order only. Wait 2 to 3 days and pay a lot more than on Amazon, never again. I found it in stainless steel, but it cost $100.00. Amazons price is reasonable for a part that is under a lot of heat stress and just eventually cracks.

Correct part, good quality and fast shipping

This Dorman 800-422 heater hose tee is cheap, $10 in 2023, mine didn’t crack or disintegrate but the hard plastic tube eventually becomes weak and soft and will start slowly leaking. Going in and tightening the clamps can make things worse by deforming the plastic to an “out of round” condition. See my attached photo. I’m sure it’s some kind of cost situation why this piece isn’t made of metal, so I suggest you purchase 2 of these so you will have one on hand in case it deforms or cracks like others have noted. I love my 1996 Suburban, it’s built like a tank for the most part, but have some head scratcher , cheap parts here and there that mystify me. Still, way better than the nonsense and cost involved with modern vehicles.

GM won't sell this fitting. It comes with the hoses asking for $150 !!The ad in Amazon says does not fit Equinox which is wrong. I trusted my own judgment and ordered. It's identical to the GM OEM part.look at the photo. I fixed my car with $20
