It works but…..
It works fine and it sounds good. Unfortunately the cord coming from the usb plug faces upwards and blocks the micro hdmi port for my external camera screen. Depending on your needs, this may be the solution for you.

Doesn't work with GoPro Hero 3
Quality of the product is acceptable. Compatibility is not - could not get to work with GoPro Hero 3 and after doing some research, the only adapter that works is the one made by GoPro...
