This cable will make it hard for the thieves to make off with my JOBOX. I have the cable wrapped around a shelving support studs and padlocked on one end, and I have the cable ran trough the handle of my JOBOX and padlocked on the other, this should be enough of a obstacle for a thief looking to steal my JOBOX full of tools. He would need advanced criminal tools to cut the cable and I would here that noise coming from the garage cause my room is right next to it. This is a very industrial grade cable and cutting it would take some heavy duty action, I would recommend it to anyone that wants to secure something to a permanent frame or building stud. I know when I go to work I'm gonna find me an I-Beam to wrap it around and secure my JOBOX too!

I was surprised with the price compared to the other ones i looked up. Trimax really impressed me with the quality at first, then after a couple months of direct heat in the back of truck driving through fl it just needs to be cleaned to look brand new, I'm convinced if i need more ill go with something from this company .

The problem with this cable will become evident as time passes. The plastic coating that covers the inner steel core will does not hold up to the outdoor elements for long. After a few years outside, the plastic coating become brittle and will form cracks in a thousand places. The cracks then allow water to penetrate to the inner steel wire core, which then rusts the cable, which eventually causes the cable to fail and snap in two. See picture to see how brittle the cable became after a few years of outdoor use. The manufacturer refuses to stand by their "lifetime warranty," pointing to the fine print in the warranty that excludes "wear and tear." If you need a cheap cable that will last a few years, then perhaps this is your cable. If you want a cable that will last for more than 4-5 years outdoors, look elsewhere.

Works as desired, good flexibility, good loop joints and protective covering. Within the inherent limitations of a steel security cable (none are safe from being cut with normal hand tools) this is a very handy piece of gear that will surly cost a thief extra time and trouble and hopefully send them off to bother someone else.

we needed something to lock the boat to the transient slips while going to restaurants, hotels, etc. and it appears to be a very well made cable. i dont think anything is going to stop someone that's determined to get your stuff, but just the looks of this alone should deter most folks from even trying..i would think it's going to take a pretty big pair of bolt cutters to even attempt to cut this cable which means it's going to be a pro, and he's gonna get what you got no matter what.this is the biggest cable available that we could use and still have the protective coating over it. we also bought a pair of the MAX60 U-locks to go with this cable.we're very happy with the build and strenghth of this cable as well as other trimax locks that we bought before this. in fact, we were so happy with the previous locks that we searched for trimax products first when buying this cable.

Bought 2 cables to secure my 17 feet canoe on my storage rack (two standing racks 6 feet apart).Passing one cable end in the other, i made a giant loop on each ends of my canoe and passed the rest of the cables through my rack, ajusting lenght by wrapping each cable around the rack so the cable end loops reach each other. Added a heavy duty paddle lock and it's real NICE!The cables are thick and well protected, mentionned as commercial grade cables, they sure feel heavy duty. I love the fact they are 12mm diameter cable compare to other cable brands of similar lenght.

Outer coating is very thick over the cable. I've had two of these outside for over two years, with no wear or fading at all. A good product that I would not hesitate to purchase again.

Only thing is that the red plastic doesn’t get trough our rough canadian winter. Cracked up open for my two others that are 15’ . Probably will happen to this one also but still does the job that it should :)

I have the Trimax lock already. I use the dual Loop to attach a portable solar panel. Solid
